Why doesn't 'delete' Tab from Enterprise Manager work correctly?

Hey folks, this has happened a number of times in the last few
weeks.  I add a module to a page, that blows up.  Can't use
the delete in the drop down actions menu.   So I go to EM, go
to Tabs table, and delete the offending tab record.  The trigger
nicely deletes all the TabModule records.  However, when I reload
the browser page, I *still see* the name of that Tab on the page!
Now, of course I found a work around, which was to just add any tab,
and it will replace the one that's on the menu, but where is this menu
name info being stored?  Why doesn't it delete the tab from the
menu?  In 2.1.2 this wasn't an issue.

It is probably caching the data.. restart IIS if you can

SQL Rule #1: Leave the SA password blank.
SQL Rule #2: Don't use WHERE clauses on DELETE statements.

Probably a caching issue, as fuzzyguru said, try to force a browser reload with ctrl-F5 before restarting either DNN or IIS.

Ok.  I know I tried to delete all files, delete history (ine IE.)
and it still showed up.   I also went to Mozilla (which I had
to double-click to start), and it was there also.  But I didn't
restart IIS and/or ASP.NET.  I'll give those a shot.  It
*does* seem like some kind of caching issue in retrospect.  Is
there a way in dnn to clear the dnn cache?  Perhaps if I change
the setting from 'medium' to none, and refreshed, and then set the
caching back to medium?  Just wondering.  It's not a big
deal, except for newbie DNN programmers... ;-)  Thanks for the
help too folks.

Try clearing the cache from Host> Host Settings

At that very place, you can clear the DNN cache as well... (it literally sais: clear cache) but that doesn't always seem to help.
What I usually do is to place each domain in a separate application pool, so it can be recycled and managed per domain. Iin case you make any db changes it's usually very handy to immediatly recycle the app as well.

'do' won't 'do' if '/'
Greetings to All from Au, Have a NetWare Perl 5.8.4 and wanted to tweak File\Spec\NW.pm to try and standardise on '/' separators. If I run a test script (t/uni/lower.t) with an unmodified NW.pm, it calls t/uni/case.pl, that, in case.pl, (when the path separators are '\'), the $file is '..\lib\unicore\To\Lower.pl' and the following code portion works, with $simple getting a returned table: sub casetest { my ($base, $spec, $func) = @_; my $file = File::Spec->catfile(File::Spec->catdir(File::Spec->updir, "lib", &qu...

Directory.Delete(path, true); doesn't work (.net 1.1) and admin can't delete
Hello all.  I have a web application that creates a user temp directory, copies files into that directory, manipulates those files, sends files to the user, and then calls Directory.Delete(path, true); to delete the temp directory and all of its contents.  The problem is that this doesn't work and the directory is still there after the method call and code execution is complete.  I also can't delete the directory manually even when logged in as an Administrator.  It says 'Cannot delete <path>: Access is denied.'.  I was under the impression that specifying 'tru...

The 'open in new tab' button doesn't work.
Name: Graham Email: gandicaseatgmaildotcom Product: Firefox Release Candidate Summary: The 'open in new tab' button doesn't work. Comments: Hi Have been using Bets versions and hoped this annoying little bug might have been fixed, but it hasn't been. Right-click on a link and select open in new tab - the tab opens but the link doesn't! I am currently trying out Chrome and it looks to be faster at the moment than 3.5.7, so I hope this little bug can be fixed and I can 'come back to Firefox' full time! Hope this helps. Installation 'Sybase DataWindow PS' printer on W98 doesn't work (so PDF export can't work either)
I have a problem with export DataWindow content to PDF on W98 systems. (I don't have any problem with PDF export on other systems like as WINNT, W2K, WXP). I found out that the problem is in the Sybase DataWindow PS printer. It looks like installed but it DOESN'T WORK on W98. When I try print something on this printer then no PostScript file is created. So I tried manual installation of it but it occurs an error during manual installation (I used description of instalation from Bruce Armstrong). The error said that printer driver (PSCRIPT.DLL) can't be loaded. I use...
