SQL: Column names, can ONLY get "name" instead of "table.name"
When iterating through column names returned from a query, I need to get "table.name" rather than just "name"
Check it out:
If I have an SQL statement "SELECT table1.ID, table2.ID FROM table1, table2;"
And table1 has a column name 'ID'
and table2 has a column name 'ID' aswell,
and i run the query, the dataset will contain column names 'ID' and 'ID'
instead of 'table1.ID' and 'table2.ID'
It is extremely important that I can differenciate between the 2 fields, and know where each of them come from.

This is driving me up the wall.
I have a pfc application where I log in to an Adaptive Server Anywhere 8
database using the pfc functions. In this app I have a function where I create a
datastore, do a retrieve and then loop through the rows fetching the column
names as follows:
s_name = lower(ds_export.Describe("#" + String(i_col) + ".Name"))
This works fine.
Now I want to run this function as a standalone program. So I create a simple
non-pfc application and copy the code to a new function adding log-in code. This
also works fine. Except....
N...How to use a full column name (table name and column name) with a DataReader
Hi, I have a problem retrieving the data with a DataReader from a stored proc that performs a join of two table with the same column's names but different data.
Let me explain with an example:
I have two tables:
Table1: Id, Name
Table2: Id, Name, IdTable1
The sproc is something like this:
CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[SearchByName]
FROM dbo.Table1, dbo.Table2
WHERE Table1.Id = Table2.IdTable1
AND Table1.Name LIKE '%' + @Name + '%'

I am using PowerDesigner 188.8.131.529 for an existing Sybase Anywhere 6
database. I have reversed engineered the database. Unfortunately some of
the column names are reserved words such as "comment". When I generate the
script and try to run the script it will error out. If there were quotes
around the table and column names it would not error out. How can I get it
to use quotes around table names and column names in the script? Thanks
for the help.
First I suggest that you upgrade to 7.5.0 at the very least. The
patch is available at http://www.sybase.com.
I am using PowerBuilder 9.0 Build 5507.
1) From within Powerbuilder, click File->New. Click the DataWindow Tab and
double-click on the FreeForm icon.
2) From the "Choose Data Source for FreeForm DataWindow" dialog window,
select the "SQL Select" icon and click "Next".
3) From the "Select Tables" dialog window, I selected the table MYTABLE, and
then I selected the first 10 fields in that table.
4) Continue creating the form using the default values.
5) In the Column Specifications tab, there is a "DB Name" column which ...IM 9.0
I am using InfoMaker 9.0 Build 5507.
In my PBL file, I create a new Freeform object.
Then I choose SQL Select to select the table and the columns. In the
Reports view, in the Column Specifictions tab, there is a "DB Name" column
which shows the column name in "table_name.column_name" format. When a
column name ends with a number (i.e. street1), the table name does not get
prefixed in the Column Specification tab. For example, it displays
"street1" instead of "mytable.street1".
Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
Please h...Whan can i do? make "string" data type convert to "window" data type, and use a "window" name to get it ancestor "window name", thanks! i use pb5
With a string window name, you can open a window of that type if you need
to. You could, of course, query that window object for any attributes.
Another option is to use the LibraryExport function to export the definition
of the window which is specified by the string. You can then parse the
resulting file to get information on the ancestor object.

I've placed these META tags on the HEAD section of my MASTERPAGE of my application (used in all my webforms)
Last Monday week I was on the first page of GOOGLE at the sixth position.
Last Friday, I've added a script section on my head too. Something like:

Did I do something wrong?
Does the scrip section stop the google robots to read the META tags?
Thank you in advance

I need to pefix column name (that is PD column code) with
the table name(..code) either at CDM to PDM generation time
or when I collapse existing PDM tables with non unique
column codes into a denormalized table.
I would like to know how to do it from both ways. please
provide as detailed as possible explanation as I am a newbie
When you generate from CDM to PDM, you have the option to prefix each
column with a Table Prefix (first 3 chars of table name). You could use
VBScript if you wanted to do more from the PDM. For instance, write a
