Hi All,
Does anyone know if PB6.5 supports SQL2000 native or even at all.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

DB-Lib ( PB native connection ) will connect to SQL Server 2000, but has
been 'feature frozen' from microsoft since SQL Server 6.5, so new
functionality available in SQL Server 2000 may not be useable. Also, the
TCP-IP connection through the 2000 version of DB-Lib has known performance
issues so we are currently using Named Pipes.

OLE-DB will work but I've run into some odd issues with it extra padding in
strings and stuff.

hth,
CJ

Correction: you may not be able to use OLE-DB with PB 6.5, I know you can
with PB 8.

You can use the native MSS driver that is available with PB 6.5 to connect
to a SQL Server 200 database. If you had created the application with an
earlier version of SQL Server and have migrated the database, the
application should work the same as before.
