You'd have to create your own "selection" system... you can use a rectangle
object and change its visibility as needed to simulate a highlighted row,
but you'd have to have (and use) your own versions of SelectRow() and its
kin.

Why do your own selectRow()? If I'm not wrong, coding this
is the visible property should work:
"if(getRow()=selectedRow(),1,0)"

Hi JJ

AFAIIK, you can use Modify() to change the .Background.color and
..Background.Mode to change the color of selected row;

for li_column = 1 to Integer(dw_main.Object.Datawindow.Column.Count)

  ls_err = ""
  ls_err = dw_main.Modify("#"+String(li_column)+".Background.Mode='0'")
  if ls_err <> "" then
   MessageBox("Error", "Modify() in dw_main(.Background.Mode) of "+ls_dw+"
failed !~nError : "+ls_err, Exclamation!, OK!)
   return -1
  end if

   ls_err = ""
   ls_err =
dw_main.Modify("#"+String(li_column)+".Background.Color='16777215~tif(getrow
() = currentrow(), 11992313, 16777215)'")
   if ls_err <> "" then
    MessageBox("Error", "Modify() in dw_main(.Background.Color) of "+ls_dw+"
failed !~nError : "+ls_err, Exclamation!, OK!)
    return -1
   end if

next

note: change .Background.Mode to 0 and 1 to see the different result.

Setting Colors Using System Color Definitions
I want to be able to assign color to an object in a script, based on the way the user has their system colors defined. I know that the function RGB will allow me to specify a color, however I want to set the color of a field during runtime to one of the system colors, for example to "buttonface". When designing a datawindow, one is allowed to use the system colors as choices. I am assuming that this can also be done programmatically. Is there anyone who has done this, and if so how? Canvas.Brush.Color and user defined color constants
Hi, I've defined my own color constants like these: const rmcAliceBlue = $FFF0F8FF; rmcAntiqueWhite = $FFFAEBD7; rmcAquamarine = $FF7FFFD4; rmcArmyGreen = $FF669966; rmcAutumnOrange = $FFFF6633; rmcAvocadoGreen = $FF669933; rmcAzure = $FFF0FFFF; rmcBabyBlue = $FF6699FF; rmcBananaYellow = $FFCCCC33; When using one of those constants with Canvas.Brush.Color this mostly results in black colors on the canvas. How can I use those constants correctly or is it impossible to use user defined colors at all? -- cu, Michael On Fri, 31 Oct 2008 02:54:07 -...
