Karla; Yes, I complained about this in the ISUG "enhancement sessions" at Techwave 2007. I think that Sybase needs to better coordinate PB & PK release features so that it becomes transparent to import or export any component. What I ended up doing (like in your case) is exporting the DW source and editing out the offending feature syntax (pain in the ass though). -- Regards ... What was the specific statement that you had to edit out of the SRD to work? When PocketBuilder migrates a PKL to PB, it _tries_ to fix things up so PB does not choke. This makes it look like we missed something (very possible). Is it possible have PK datawindow same format as PB datawindow? I think so because you had mentioned to implemnt true enterprise distributed feature in PK2.5. My understanding is we can develop PB11 .NET NVO WS at server side and consume it from PK. If that is the case, PK datawindow should be the same as PB datawindow. There are a couple of items making this difficult: a) which _version_ of PowerBuilder to be the same as... PowerBuider is evolving also. The DW syntax is designed to be only one-way compatible. (IOW - PB-11 can consume PB-10 syntax but not the other way around) b) PocketBulider has additional capabilities that PowerBuilder will never have. The DW syntax items for the SIP and MOP come to mind. c) the screen geometry and the user-interface concepts are very different between the PocketPC/SmartPhone and the desktop PC. The DataWindow is a very _visual_ and user-input oriented concept. The differences between the desktop and PDA would have to be either ignored (a bad thing) or force a changed syntax (not good, but a less bad thing). Well, my current thoughts... I just wanted the thank the user group for its help and input on remote debugging. The comments were helpful and ogt me finally going on debugging remote objects on EAS. i might add that I still had deployment problems in Powerbuilder 10.5.1. The properties for the deployed compent would be selectable in the but the debug property in the property file would be false.
