Web.PB Wizard Says "No Web Enabled Functions"?

Many of my functions which are working Web.PB/DPB functions cannot be
processed by the Web.PB Wizard. It either only shows a subset of them or
returns a message saying the PBL does not contain any web enabled functions
when in fact it does.

This appeared to still be the case in an early Beta of 6.0. Is this known
bug or I'm doing something to confuse the Wizard? Other's have seen this
but no one has offered a solution. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Enabling "Save to Web" function on ASP.NET (using C#) web application
Hello, I just want to know if there is a way to do the "Save to Web" functionality for MS Office documents in ASP.NET web application, similar to that of Sharepoint. It works like this: - The end-user chooses a .doc file on the web application aspx page. (optionally,  the end-user can choose *.xls, etc) - The file opens on Microsoft Word. After editing, the user can choose to "Save to Web" which will update the file on the web server. An option for this is WebDAV, though we don't need an Active Directoryfor it to work. All we need is for the file to be saved on the file repository...

"Web Site" versus New "Project" >> "Visual C#" >> "ASP.NET Web Application"?
What is the difference in creating a new "Web Site" versus New "Project" >> "Visual C#" >> "ASP.NET Web Application" ?  When and why should I use one over the other?  Thank you in advance and I look forward to your answers! Web Application Project is an addin to VS. There are a few differences but for the short answer, it uses more of an older 1.1 style for compilation and distribution.   So, I should use create Web Site? There's a detailed comparison here.Basically the difference is web application projects have a physical project file and resemble...

"Open Web Location" should have same functionality of "Location Bar"
A FireFox wish: The "Open Web Location" dialog, a replacement for the location bar, should contain the same functionality as the location bar. For example, it currently does not load bookmark keywords. Even worse, FireFox initially has settings for two searches, one with a keyword prefix and one without, and the OWL dialog doesn't distinguish between them; it always uses the no-prefix search. There is a bug registered at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194524 but it only covers part of the deficiency. ~d ...

Updating "Parent" Web Page with Value from Pop-up "Child" Web Page
Hi, all. I'm having a problem updating a cell in a table row on my parent web page with the updated value from my child web page. I am using a script to pass the value back to the parent page (script is executed in child web page button exit event handler). If I put the updated value in a textbox on the parent page, it works fine. However, when I attempt to put the updated value in the table row cell I get an error: table row is not an object or the object is null. NOTE: I am doing this without a postback on the parent page. I tried creating all the rows dynamically in the code beh...

"Visual Web Developer Web Server" and Web Services
I like the new "Visual Web Developer Web Server" (Do you want suggestions for a longer name!) but I have an issue with using it to host a Web Service. Whenever the Web Service is recompiled and run it ends up with a different port number. Therefore, it seems that any references to that WS in other applications are invalidated and need to be re-established when it's run again. Is there a way of pinning the port number, or am I missing something? CheersNick Grattan, MSDN Regional Director, Ireland. Software Paths Limited. Hi Nick, the internal server is used for local...

Missing "ASP.NET Web Site" ProjectTemplate & "Web Form" ItemTemplate
In VWD, when I open the menus: File > New Web Site > Visual Studio Installed Templates and then select Visual Basic, I see only two templates: ASP.NET Web Service and Personal Web Site Starter Kit. I do not see the ASP.NET Web Site template that is referred to in the various VWD online user guides. Also, while working on a solution, when I open the menus: File > New File > Add New Item dialog, and the select Visual Basic, I see six templates, but not the "Web Form" template, again, referred to so often in the VWD online user guides. (However, I do see this if the project is clos...

difference between "using System.Web.UI.WebControls" or "System.Web.UI.WebControls.ServerValidateEventArgs"
Hi all, quick question. I'm writing a custom validation method. In the declaration it has: protected void CustomValidator1_ServerValidate(object source, System.Web.UI.WebControls.ServerValidateEventArgs args) Is there any difference between doing that, vs doing: using System.Web.UI.WebControls; protected void CustomValidator1_ServerValidate(object source, ServerValidateEventArgs args) Do they do the same thing? Is it any more efficient when processing the request to do it one way or another? Is there a technical term for what i am talking about? Thanks in advance for any explanation ...
