I loaded the EBF#1 and still can't make the connection cache work.
For the server name, I use the name of the Net8 service naming (orcl). I
tried an other name with a oracle SID name, with no effect.

How to setup connection property in Connection Cache using EAServer 3.6.1 + JDBC 2.0Hi,
The following properties is my connection cache property.
Server Name --->
NetworkProtocol=Tds:Server=localhost:Port=4100:DatabaseName=odwas
Class Name ---> com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybConnectionPoolDataSource
I am using the JDBC 2.0 to connect with my ASE 12.0 Server. I check all of
the books about JDBC API. I could not find more information about
connection property with JDBC 2.0 + Sybase jConnect 5.2.
I already try to use the connection cache property file but it could not
work.
Do anyone know how to put the "PACKETSIZE" property to "Server Na...

EAServer 3.5 Connection Cache and Oracle 8iI read a previous post on this subject whereby OCI connection caches in
EAServer 3.5 do not work with Oracle 8i client. To follow up, I am having
the same problem, and here are the facts:
1. EAServer 3.0 and Oracle 8i (8.1.5) client works.
2. EAServer 3.5 and Oracle 8i (8.1.5) client DOES NOT work (cannot find
XA80.dll).
3. EAServer 3.5 and Oracle 8i (8.1.6) client DOES NOT work (cannot find
XA80.dll).
4. EAServer 3.5 and Oracle 8.0.5 client works.
Let me be clear that it WAS working with EAServer 3.0, then I simply
upgraded to 3.5 and it no longer worked. I had to then ins...
EAServer 6.3 / ORACLE : Java connection PING but fails to SELECTHi,
We have a new installation of EAServer 6.3 (upgraded from
5.5).
The Java and PowerBuilder connections PING to the Oracle 10.
The PowerBuilder connection works perfectly, but the Java
connection fails to SELECT from DB.
In the JAGUAR log we see the log below.
After GOOGLING for a solution we=92ve tested with other
Oracle Client versions: 10.2, 10.2.0.4 and 11; But the
problem continues.
Any idea what should be done on this?
Thank you,

EAS 3.6.1 C1 & Oracle 8.1.7 Connection Cache ProblemI am experiencing inconsistent results when using an OCI 8.x connection
cache with EAServer 3.6.1 C1 release. There are a few times when
everything (i.e. database retrieves and updates) is working fine. If I
close the browser (both IE 5.5 and Netscape 4.76) and try the same sequence
of events again, Jaguar hangs while trying to connect to the connection
cache. Most of the time, we can't even get a single update to work. There
doesn't appear to be a pattern on why it works sometimes and doesn't work
most of the time. I am not experiencing any problems if I use the...

EAServer 3.6 and Oracle 8.1.6
We are developing a Web Application using EAServer 3.6. Our development platform

Development Database Server is Oracle 8.1.5 on Sun-Solaris. Oracle client is

EAServer 3.6.1 C3 Solaris / PB 7.0.3 / Oracle 8.3) Empty Blob passed to ClientHi all,
I have a problem with PB 7.0.3 and EAS 3.6.1 C3 on Solaris 2.8. I defined a
datawindow with PB that is supposed to show
a list of all customers from an Oracle DB. On the server side it all seems
to work well. The return status is ok and
the number of rows inside the blob is exactly the number of rows in the
customer table. When I check the blob
after it's transfered to the client, the number of rows is 0.
Any help is highly appreciated!
Kind regards,
Markus
