OK, thanks, 0.45xx didn't seem to be any better, so I decided to post the
errors to the group.

Help! My group has been consistenly having a problem with database
connections through Jaguar. A PING of the database through the connection
cache from Manager fails. The log reads as follows:
Jan 31 10:39:06 2001: cm__odbc_alloc:alloc connection MEMORY_ERROR
Jan 31 10:39:06 2001: cm__odbc_alloc or cm__ctlib_alloc MEMORY_ERROR

We are using Jag 3.5, Windows NT 4.0 and find the problem with all ODBC
sources whether samples or ones we create.
In a classroom situation, the combo of Jag 3.5 and NT worked, b...Can't set up Watcom 4.0 ODBC driver on NT 3.51 or 4.0
When I try to set up a datasource using ODBC and the Watcom 4.0
drivers, I click OK, then retunr to setup and all of my ODBC settings
are gone. The Watcom ODBC driver will not save my settings, only
the datasource name.

...ASE 18.104.22.168 to ASE 12.5.4 upgrade path
I would like to know if the migration from ASE 22.214.171.124 to
12.5.4 a direct migration or is there an intermediate
upgrade to be performed in between?
Take a look at the release bulletins and installation guides for your
platform. These are the first steps to any upgrade.

...Looking for Location of ODBC Drivers for 188.8.131.52 for Windows x86
I have a client running an OnBase database on a SQL Anywhere
5.5.04 platform. The client has lost their Sybase CD and
needs to create additional connections to the OnBase
database. I'm looking for the installation location within
the Sybase directory that contains the ODBC drivers that I
can use to create the additional connections. I have asked
the client to look for themselves but they indicate they are
unable to find it. Can someone provide the path for the ODBC
driver location? Any special instructions that may be
helpful in creating the ODBC connection on another

Can anyone point me to a statement by Sybase that ASE ODBC Driver 15 will
work with ASE 12.5.x databases? I'm under the impression that it is backward
compatible but I will need to install the 15.x cataloging stored procedures
in the 12.5.x servers to allow MS Access / Excel / Query type users to work.

We are currrently running 11.9.2 on an old HPUX server
(development). We are getting a newer HPUX server and our
DBA is asking us which version we should install. It will be
a clean install. Are there any major problems we may
encounter when the 11.9.2 databases are installed/upgraded
to any of the above version. We have numerous stored procs,
views and triggers. Once all applications are fully tested,
we will be upgrading the production server to whichever
version we choose.
I hope that made sense.

Trying to find what is the supported upgrade path for the above. Going from
12.0/64bit on AIX 4.3.3 to 12.5 (or 12.5.x) 64bit on AIX 5.2.
If I put AIX 5.2 , the dataserver binary of 12.0 will not work which is used
during the upgrade.
If I put 12.5.x on 4.3.3, the dataserver binary will not work beacuse it is
new binary for 5.2.
Other than backup the databases and load them to the new server, is there a
supported how to upgrade?

...ASE 12.5 ODBC Connection Pooling
I'm trying to setup an ASE ODBC connection pool on a Win2003 server. The
Sybase Open Client has been installed on the server, and when I go into ODBC
Administrator, System DSN, and create a new Sybase connection, I get the
ODBC Sybase Wire Protocol Driver Setup screen. I enter the parameters and
click Test Connection, where I get prompted for Login ID and Password. When
I enter these values, it connects fine. I suspect that for the connection
pool to work, you need to somehow supply these values outside of the
application (PB12 .NET assembly as a webservice). Can someone...odbc windows driver for ASE 12.5
Can someone share with this driver? Or where can I download it?
It is part of the Software Development Kit available from Sybase. The
zip file is called PCClient and you can get it from one of the developer
editions of Sybase ASE.

...Newbie: ODBC to ASE 12.5 nt?
I'm new here...
I downloaded and installed Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise Developer's
Edition for NT. Afterwards, I installed the pubs2 database.
Via the Sybase Central Java Edition I can connect to this database, and I
can see the tables (authors, blurbs, ...) etc.
I know want to connect via ODBC to this database!
But I don't manage to do this ...
What I did:
- I didn't found an ODBC driver with the installation of Sybase Adaptive
Server Enterprise Developer's Edition for NT, so I downloaded the ODBC
