TDateTimeEdit - Delphi XE5 needed just to build a bpl. [Edit]

Hi,

I bought a few years ago a component TDateTimeEdit from AdRock software.
The company stopped its business, and the company provided the pascal source code. I could compile it a few years ago using bcb 2010.

However, I have to upgrade to XE5, and c++ builder XE5 doesn't allow me to build a component from the pascal code?
Could someone build the BPL for me? I can provide the source.

Regards.

Have you tried compiling with command line compiler (dcc)?

In CB2007 it was:

Set BCB11=C:\Program Files\CodeGear\RAD Studio\5.0

"%BCB11%\Bin\dcc32" -U"%BCB11%\Lib" -JL SomeDelphi.dpk
If Errorlevel 1 goto Err

It generates hpp, lib, bpi, bpl which you have to place into
appropriate folders.

Writing a unit test in RAD Studio XE5. [Edit]
Greetings, I am trying to write a unit test using Rad Studio XE5. I've created a dll project, and a test project. Now I'd like to create a unit test. When I double click on Test Case in the tool palette I get the test case wizard and it asks me "Select methods to test". It appears to be demanding a "Source file" but I haven't got one. As a good little TDD monkey, I would like to write the test first. Is there a way to do this in Rad Studio? Peter. Hi, For some reason I am drawing a blank on this one. I know I did it with Delphi 7 way back but can not for the life in me remember how to do this. I have built an application with Runtime packages, so that I can utilize plugins and make the application extensible. This all works perfectly fine. I have a BPL that is shared between all my plugins and added into the main executable. Now when I come to deploy however it is asking for loads more BPL's that I do not a] want to ship or, b] might / do not have the rights to ship I have checked my Packages in the main application...

NFS: client needs to write twice (!) for a successful write
Hello, I was looking for a couple of days for a solution, so (I think) I have the basics sorted out - i.e. correct /etc/exports, correct mount, no firewall, matching UIDs/GUIs, correct squash-ing etc. The (weird) problem: a server (an Intel SS4200) exports an NFS share mapped by an 11.1 client (tried both YaST-way and CLI-way on the client). I can access and read from the share. However, when trying to write to the share (a simple 'cp') I observe the following behavior: - The first time the 'cp' command is issued, it ends up with: cp: cannot create regular file `...

VS Builds, and Builds, and Builds
Hello, Has anyone else had this problem?  After a while of developing, and I go to compile, VS takes forever to build and I have to end-task it.  It's definitely after I've been working for a while, then it finally has "had it" and just takes forever to build.  It's annoying as I know its not the machine (2.8 GHZ processor and 1GB RAM).  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  By the way, I do have SP1 installed. Also, after minimizing and switching around screens, when it does this, the building icon in the status bar doesn't show.  And, for more informati...

Need to write optomize ADO Table Writing to Sql Express
Using Delphi XE, Sql Server Express 2008 R2 (Installed on Compiler Machine), TADODataSet (Optomist Locking), and TADOConnection Windows 7. I am trying to copy from a DBase Table all the data to Sql Table of the same Name. There are a total of 2978812 recordes in the Dbase table. When is a build needed?
Hi I've a few websites locally on my machine (all ASP.NET 1.1/2.0) and I deploy them to a 'live' server. Now I've a few controls in one website which show the 'footer' or the 'left navigation' etc. I wanted to add a link to one of the controls so all I did was go directly to the deployment server and edit the .ascx file and added the link - <a href etc..... I noticed it didn't require a build and the link showed up fine. Do I just need to rebuild when I change the code behind? Thanks P Normally Yes. You only need to build when you change someth...
