Nathan, as a first task, could you figure out a list of which existing
RFCs belong on the -objects list?

K.

Sure. I believe these of mine belong there:

RFC 49: Objects should have builtin stringifying STRING method
RFC 73: All Perl core functions should return objects
   RFC 101: Handlers and Pseudo-classes
RFC 103: Fix print "$r->func" and $pkg::$var precedence

I also think these belong there as well:

RFC 67: Deep Copying, aka, cloning around. (Peter Scott)
RFC 92: Extensible Meta-Object Protocol (Tony Olekshy)
RFC 95: Object Classes (Andy Wardley)
RFC 108: Scope of Polymorphic References and Objects (Syloke Soong)

There are a couple others that deal with objects, but they're already in
the errors sublist or the internals list.

Anyone, please reply with any objections or additions. There are a
couple I left off about operator and function overloading because they
don't deal with embedding objects into Perl, which is what -objects is
about IMO.

Thanks,
Nate

Hello, by executing the command "perl6 --tree" there is to seen the following error message: [gz016@lgerd perl6]$ perl ./perl6 --tree -e 'print "alf"'; Can't call method "tree" on an undefined value at ./perl6 line 418. Appropriate perl6-language behaviour
[ Cc: perl6-language, ask@perl.org ] Yaphet, As you may be aware, I've been a bit absent from p6-language lately, as I've been moving to Canada and rather busy. So I apologise for not having brought this up earlier, which I really should have done as Perl 6 Language working group chair and list mom. Your behaviour on the p6-l list has been totally unacceptable. Personal attacks and name calling are *not* appropriate to this forum, and even a brief examination of your recent posts shows that this is a common form of communication from you. Markup language-like features in Perl6?
I am aware of at least one program that adopts XML for (customizable/"skinnable") GUI descriptions. This has a sense for markup languages are typically "descriptive", i.e. they say how something IS as opposed to, say, procedural languages that let one implement something that DOES something[1]. Of course as far as GUIs are concerned, they provide an interface for "something that does something" as well, so one needs both charachteristics and in fact an OO approach is typically applied, which provides an IMHO excellent approximation to the concept ...

Relationship between pugs and parrot/language/perl6
I see that there's work being done on a perl6 implementation under languages in parrot. How is this effort related to the pugs project? Is the aim of this to provide an alternative implementation of perl6 to pugs? Is one of them the destined to be the canonical implementation, or is there going to be such a thing? Re: perl6 and a multi-interpreted-language example
Okay, combining all these approaches minimalistically but without golfing we get something like: my @numbers = sort { rand }, constant @goal = 1..9; my $steps = 0; until @numbers ~~ @goal { say ~@numbers; @numbers[ 0 ..^ prompt "Reverse how many?
