I can't access the repository. Who to contact?

For the past few days, I've been getting this:

=C2=A7 ssh -v perl5.git.perl.org
OpenSSH_7.6p1 Ubuntu-4, OpenSSL 1.0.2n 7 Dec 2017
debug1: Reading configuration data /home/khw/.ssh/config
debug1: /home/khw/.ssh/config line 1: Applying options for *
debug1: /home/khw/.ssh/config line 8: Applying options for *
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: /etc/ssh/ssh_config line 19: Applying options for *
debug1: Connecting to perl5.git.perl.org [37.10.29.195] port 22.
debug1: connect to address 37.10.29.195 port 22: Connection refused
ssh: connect to host perl5.git.perl.org port 22: Connection refused

I know of no changes on my end that would cause this. This last time=20
there was about 24 hours between my attempts.

On #irc, people thought BooK was the person to contact, but an email to=20
him has so far been unanswered.

Any suggestions?

No suggestions apart to note that "it works for me":

$ ssh -v perl5.git.perl.org

debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config.d/05-redhat.conf

debug1: /etc/ssh/ssh_config.d/05-redhat.conf line 8: Applying options for *
debug1: Connecting to perl5.git.perl.org [37.10.29.195] port 22.
debug1: Connection established.

Last I heard it was Peter Molnar.

Try taking your laptop to a coffee shop and see if that makes a
difference, or connect to a VPN first if you have access to one. The
reverse DNS on the server hosting the repository is severe and a bit
buggy. It decided months ago that it did not like my home network
(even though nothing there had changed) and I have not been able to
connect from home since. Works fine from every other network I've
been on.

Random suggestion: maybe check your ssh keys? I had trouble with
github recently because dsa keys aren't supported any more, you need
to use rsa now.

Then you can maybe SSH into some host on the internet and use that as
a 'stepping stone'. If you also don't have access to some host on the
internet, maybe you can spin up an instance on Amazon EC2 or Azure.
You can configure your .ssh/config on your local machine to forward to
perl5.git.perl.org via this host.

Look at the network level how to connection is refused (TCP reset or
ICMP) and especially in case of ICMP who is the sending party (it can
be any router between you and the server). Then contact an administrator
of that IP address that can be found in a WHOIS database. For
37.10.29.195 it's <mailto:internet@booking.com>.

Change your IP address. If you have a cable modem, change the MAC
address "WAN MAC cloning" in the router, then reboot the cable modem,
you should have a new IP address. Verify with a website like
https://www.whatismyip.com/ or https://www.dnsstuff.com/ that it
changed. The perl git server is really easy for me to get a 24 hour IP
address firewall block if I login wrong 2-3 times via SSH. In my
experience, that firewall also blocks the public HTTP gitweb
https://perl5.git.perl.org/perl.git interface if I am blocked on port 22.

Can we have an email address for the contact added to (a):
https://perl5.git.perl.org/ -- perhaps on the same line as the "Hosted
by Booking.com" logo; and (b): pod/perlgit.pod?

Thank you very much.

I'm not sure which email address they would prefer to be published so
I'll forward this to them.
