how to open a file that is formated in gpi [derived from OpenStreetMap-developement]

good day dear linux-friends


i have several Files that are in the gpi-formate - derived from here:
'Garmin | Österreich | Extras | POIs'
(http://www.garmin.com/at/extras/poi/)

well i want to open them since i need the data -

note i run OpenSuse 12.1

Hi
Install gpsbabel to convert. They are just xml files, I just manually
created mine to add additional info for my Garmin Nuvi.
