Non Patch list or Non Patch report

We are a financial institution and we need to show examiners a report on

what is NOT patched. Which is the easiest way to get a report of a
list of IP addresses and computer names and a list of what isn't patched
for each one?

Ddonahue22,

I don't know of any simple way of doing this, and in any case how do
you define "not patched"? If you define this by "meeting our mandatory
baseline", then there's the baseline detail report, if you want a
report of all the vulnerabilities that show for every device, then I
don't know if this can be done - perhaps with the additional reporting
tool you can buy, but I'm not sure.

I'm assuming your UI is similar to the default UI (Shaun can correct
me).

There are a couple different ways I can think of:

If you go to the devices tab and click on the device you want to
reference. Then click on the vulnerabilities tab, this should show you
the unpatched vulnerabilities for that machine (as long as the view is
selected in the top right). Then at the bottom of the page should be an
export button. This allows you to export your view to a CSV (Comma
Separated Value) that can be imported into Excel.

If you wanted a broader picture, you could set up groups for your
devices. Navigate to the Vulnerabilities tab, then select from the
drilldown options in the top right:

Results for Groups : (the group you want to reference)
Status: Not Patched or Enabled and Not Patched
Impact: Select all for everything (which may be overwhelming) or just
do Critical.

Then then after doing the query, there should be the export button at
the bottom of the page.

~Again, this is me doing this from my default UI~

DaveFoose,

yes, but imagine 5,000 workstations and they need a report on all of
them...

Another option I might suggest finding a Vulnerability Scanner like
Nessus or Lumension's to do this job.

Thank you very much. Will try creating another group and see what kind
of data I can get out of that.

Patches, patches, patches... #2
OK, this is advance warning that I'm about to be reposting a bunch of patches of mine which appear to have succumbed to Warnock's Dilemma. The first three should be uncontroversial: there's a documentation fix-up for core.ops, and new tests for strings and stacks. The last one is rather larger, and consists of a greatly expanded set of tests for PerlString's, plus a bunch of bug-fixes. I'd be grateful if Jeff or Dan could take a look at this, as I have the feeling that a lot of the scalar PMCs are going to need similar fixes. Simon ...

Patch still showing up as not being patched in vulnerability list, yet, when you look at deployment report, shows it being patched successfully??
Hey hoping someone out there has seen this, and has some answer for me. I have a customer who's patch server seems to be running great except for one issue. There are some machines, that show random patches as being vulnerabilities yet, if you look at the deployment report, it shows the patch has been deployed successfully? I'm confused by this. One thing i did notice is if i take a look at one of these patches, for example, the "Deployment Test and Diagnostic Package" if i click on it, it shows the particular computer as not being patched and an analysis da...

[PATCH] patching for sunos
Hi coders, greetings from the stone age: This is perl, v5.9.4 built for sun4-sunos-stdio SunOS Release 4.1.3 (GENERIC) #3: Mon Jul 27 16:44:16 PDT 1992 $ uname -a SunOS xxx 4.1.3 3 sun4m If anyone is interested in patches for SunOS yet, I have some. Some are harmless, some may not be optimal. Help/hints/tips are always nice and appreciated. 1. SunOS realloc() does not like NULL pointers as parameters.
