iPrint and Windows 7

I am trying to get iPrint to work with a Windows 7 client. I have
downloaded and installed iprntnw65sp8b-2, unloaded the print components
and re-loaded on the server.

I have downloaded and installed nipp532 to to the Windows 7 workstation.

When I try to go to my list of printers via http://servername/ipp and
add a printer, I receive the following error:

Error message: iPrint Client: No printer driver has been associated with
this printer
Error group: iPrint client
Error code: 65550

I have looked at the settings for the specific printer via iManager
2.7.3 for the printer agent. There is no indicator for a Windows 7
driver but there is one for XP and Vista. I have associated the driver
for both of these.

Anyone got this successfully to work and/or know what I am missing?

I finally have this issue resolved after trying for several days. I
ended up following TID 3424524-How to manually re-install the iPrint
iManager Plugin to get the Windows 7 driver tabs to appear when I went
to Manager the Printer Agent in iManager.

Specifically:

To manage and/or upload drivers and create profiles, the iPrint plug-in
found in this download is required. A choice must be made to either A)
apply this plug-in to iManager 2.7.2, or B) upgrade the iManager
framework to 2.7.3 and apply the iPrint plug-in from this download. Both
options A) and B) come with limitations.

Option A Limitations:
- The iManager object selector feature will not work from an IE8
browser. Therefore, typing in the full name and context of the objects
being managed is required.
- The history feature from an IE8 browser will not handle objects with
spaces in the name. Replacing %20 for a space is required to manage the
objects.
- iManager Left side bar (LSB) is not user friendly on a IE8 browser.
- Choosing the Windows 7 tab while managing a Broker hosted by a
NetWare server without the SP8b patch (updated iPrint NLMs) will results
in exception errors.

Option B Limitations:
- iPrint is the only plug-in tested with the 2.7.3 FTF framework
available in this download. As such, carefully choose which iManager
server to install this Field Test release of iManager. See *Note below.
- Choosing the Windows 7 tab while managing a Broker hosted by a
NetWare server without the SP8b patch will results in exception errors.

Hey Everyone, Iam sorry, I think this issue has been up here about a 1000 times (mostly relating to WinXP I think), but my knowledge of iPrint ist pretty close to zero and the support guys asked me if I could open up a thread in the novell forums. My colleagues have encountered problems with the iPrint Client on Windows 7. Iam not quite sure, that this issue is related to iPrint and Iam not really familiar with iPrint Administration / Support (Iam trying to get into this at the moment), so I will try to outline the problems. In the forums I could only find similar problems r...

iPrint and Windows 7, why do they hate each other?
When I go to the iprint website (http://serverip/ipp), it keeps saying that it's an unsupported client. I've got the latest iprint client installed (as of yesterday which is 5.72). Windows XP without the iPrint client and secure iPrint printers
Netware OES, secure iPrint, Windows XP SP2 I was interested to see how Windows XP handles printing to secure iPrint printers without the iPrint client installed. This might be a useful option for users that do not like installing any 3rd party clients on their PC's. I followed this route - Goto Printers/Faxes section and select 'add a printer' In the wizard select Network printer. Then select the URL box titled 'Connect to a printer on the Internet...' and type in the URL as follows - https://[iprint server ipaddress]:443/ipps/[printer name] This i...

iPrint stops printing in Windows 7
I got the latest iPrint client installed and I did the updates to the server. (Netware 6.5 SP8). The workstation will print fine and sometimes it just stops printing. No error messages displayed. When I go to print the job goes but nothing comes out and no status message shows in the iPrint client. When I look at the credentials in iPrint it shows the username and context.
