Cannot log in to OES Netware with Native File Access

I have seen that OES NetWare will not accept Windows workstations to log in
without the NetWare Client. I have attempted a number of builds but have
not gotten NFA to work on any.

There must be a TID on this because this is a major issue.

I'm able to connect to a Netware 6.5(SP3) server from the same Windows
workstation with no Netware client but not the OES Netware server.

Thanks

Upgrade from NetWare 6.0 SP5 to OES Netware
--____RZGFFFIQAQFWLXRCMWOW____ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Is it preferable to upgrade my master replica and SLP server first before = upgrading my other servers or does it not really matter? The reason I'm asking is my 6.0 SP5 master replica server doesn't have = enough disk space on the sys volume to upgrade. It is an older server = that needs to go but the guy before me set it up with a 2GB sys volume and = there is less than 500MB space left. The healthcheck fails.=20 So the question is can I upgrad...

Upgrade Netware cluster from Netware 5.1 to Netware 6.5
Hello! We bought new hardware for our 2 new Netware 6.5 servers for cluster. Now we 've cluster on Netware 5.1 with shared disk system. I wonder what design of upgrading is better. Is it better that i install Netware 5.1 on both new servers and for begining make migration from NW5.1 to NW51 cluster (just changing the hardware for servers) and the second step make inplace migration to Netware 6.5? Or is it better to install Netware 6.5 with latest support packs on both new servers, prepare existing NDS tree for cluster migration, and make migration with upgrade wizard on both ser...

NFS for netware (Native File Access Protocol) permissions
Hi All, I configured the NFS server on NW6.5 SP7 and exported NSS volume using independent access control with trusted hosts and Access permission. For Linux NFS client, I was able to see the directories under NSS volume when I check the Root for the access permission and windows NFS client could not see any directories at all. However, when I set the Anonymous access at the global permission then both clients can see all directories. Please advice, Thanks, Steve -- spham68 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ spham68, ...

Purchasing Native File Access Netware 5.1
I am looking to purchase Native File Access for a Netware 5.1 server we have here. Does anyone have a UK contact number that I can use to do this. Thanks Richard Native File Access for NetWare 5.1 is an obsolete product for which even support has ceased: http://support.novell.com/lifecycle/lcSearchResults.jsp?st=-1&sl=n&sg=-1&pid=1000 I doubt that Novell still officially sells this product. However if if they do, you still have to pay attention if it really fills your need. I don't know which part of NFAP you need but you should be aware of the following...

Then was able to restart server. Server was not hung. 2) Can not access iManager Do I have to recreate CA for 6.5? My test network which has different hardware works. I will compare results. Any suggestions on what I can try next. thanks, Linda Was finally able to get iManager to work. Found several tids. TIDS 10068769, 10086939, 10087650, 10088796...

Native File Access from Mac OSX -> Netware 6.5
HI there... I've been studying for weeks and am just flat out of things to try. We are making a slow migration to macs and a bank of xserves, but I'm still trying to get some macs to connect. When I log on using "connect to server" (afp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) I immediately get an authentication login screen, and I log in using known good credentials, after a few seconds of trying to login, I get a "You entered an invalid username or passowrd" I was convinced that this was a plain text thing, but I've edited both machines I am trying (one is 10.6,...

can you use a response file to upgrade from nw 6 to Netware OES
I have a project to upgrade 40 servers. The customer wants all the server to come out exactly the same. I was looking at the response file generator and I wondered if you could use it to manage the upgrade process too. As a secondary issue, when I build a staging server to install from can I copy both distribution CDs to the same directory or do I have to copy them to separate directories and tell the install program where the second disk is when it prompts me? Thanks in advance, I answered part of my own question by running the response file generator. It prompts you to sele...

Dear sirs, I would like to know what is the correct procedure to upgrade a Netware 4.1 with Netware for SAA 4.0 server to Netware 5.1. This is the last server we have to upgrade, all the other are already on netware 5.1. Can I just proceed with a inplace upgrade? If so, Do I have to change anything in Netware for SAA? What kind of service pack should I use on Netware 5.1? After upgrade do I need saa40020.exe for netware 5.1? Just a few questions to make sure I'am on the right track. Thanks in advance Ger van de Kolk I did a 4.1o to 5.0 with SAA4.0 a coup...

NetWare 6.5 SP3 Upgrades Issues
This seems to be an issue that has not been addressed by Novell! During the upgrade of a server the GUI will hang at "Closing Installation Files". This results is NRM, & iManager not functioning even though the server is upgraded to 6.5. Looks like Novell has skirted around this issue. Obviously if you read the forums this is happening frequently. This has happened to about 7 out of the 10 servers that I have upgraded thus far. Just exactly when is this going to looked into. Are you passing it on to Novell to inform them that this is happening? I currenlty have a...
