Saving Excel and Word files fails and will only save to temp file
Sometimes wer having problems saving Excel 97 and Word 97 files. An error
message tells us that we cant save the file but the file is saved as a
temp file. We heve notised that the problem as a workaround can be solved
by deleting the space in mapps and filenames. But our users doesnt buy
that answer :-)
We are running a Netware 6.5 sp3 cluster and Novell Client 4.91 version
Hopefull for an answer

I want to read data from a local file and display it to a text box. Also I want to save data from the textbox to a file. I am using DialogBox for it.
I used stream reader to read the content of the file. It worked fine. But when I deploy it to server . It throws an error File not fount.
I am using C#/ ASP.NET
Where is the textfile located? It must exist within your application. You cannot hardcode the path to the Textfile in your code, because there is no guarantee that your Host is using the same path on their server, you need to use Server.MapPath() to get the correct re...File open/lock Monitor on one file closes when user accesses this file

Sometimes we are experiencing a slow down of the application when the

I'm having trouble with HTML Anchors (links) using the file: protocol.
The URL I'm trying to get at looks something like this
If I click on the link, /nothing/ happens but, if I "Copy Link Location" and
paste exactly the same thing into the "address bar" in FireFox, FireFox is
perfectly happy to show me the file.
Why the difference?
Am I tripping over some security restriction here?

Hi Everyone,I was grateful to be able to download the code for uploading files into a folder from Sreedhar's web page. The code works well, but whenever there is another new file with the same file name being uploaded into the destination folder, the old file will be replaced. I am wondering if there is any way to solve this problem (How about adding a number to the new file's name, e.g. File1.doc, if there is an existing File.doc?) I am an absolute beginner and any help is deeply appreciated. The original code is as follows:

I like you browser better than windows explorer but windows has one
feature that I wish you had. When saving a file (save page as) please
have option of saving file the title and not the actual file name. Many
files have number names that have no relationship to the web page.
Saving as the page title gives an exact indication of the topic of the
page saved. Keep up the good work.

I want to do 2 things.

I am not getiing , in a read , linemode! how i will get End of file and how
i will do all this.
can you tell me script.
I'm not sure I understand your question.
From the PowerBuilder Help file, in linemode! FileRead() will return a 0

is just off the cuff but I would imagine it's something like

you can only select 1 file to upload in a standard upload control. However workarounds exist that make use of ActiveX or java applets. You can easily google for this.
