CIFS Log Error - Coming from a Windows 7 Workstation

We have clientless (no Novell client) Windows 7 workstations that are
connecting to our SLES10 SP4 OES2 SP3 November Maint release servers and
we are getting this strange error:

CIFS[11730]: ERROR: CODIR: Failed to add share mode entry to samba
database -7
Mar 27 09:01:00 server1 CIFS[11730]: ERROR: CODIR: LockDirCacheEntry
failed to open file for User : user1,Conn no : 25 ,Err : 128,

The server is set up for CIFS protocol and no SAMBA has ever been used
or created on this server. SAMBA is also not used or configured at all
on the Windows 7 workstation.

Any ideas why this would be showing up in the cifs.log file?

If I remember correctly, the OES2 CIFS implementation handled
file-locks and cross-protocol locks in the same way as SAMBA, by using
the SAMBA database to maintain the list of locks, just not using the
same libraries to handle them. But on OES2 Spx you can still use
smbstatus to display the locks. On OES11 the database is still in the
SAMBA style and in the SAMBA location only the newer SAMBA utilities od
SLES 11 are unable to process the CIFS stored data.

Native File Access for Windows #2
I am running three SBS 6.0 sp4 servers and our main server has the Native file access loaded on it. However the people who loaded the program must have screwed something up and it sounds like I need to uninstall and reinstall the program. However the server it is loaded on is very much strapped for space and I really do not want to have to service pack the machine again. So if I were to uninstall the Native file access for windows off of the main server, would I have to service pack it again? Can I install the Native file access for windows on another server or does it ha...

CIFS file access with Windows GPO?
I posted this on the storage forums, but thought it was more appropriately posted here instead: I'm going to do my best to explain. In Windows 2003 AD has a Terminal Services GPO where you can define a terminal services home directory and profile directory and map it. It expects an SMB share so that when it maps the drive it map roots it. We put in a CIFS share like: \\server\share "do not append username to directory" is disabled (so that it DOES put on the \username) The issue: If you were in "pure windows" land, you would create a shar...

Problem with viewing Windows SDK help files from Delphi 7 under Windows 7
Hi, I recently installed Delphi 7 on a Windows 8 machine putting it into a non-system folder. When I found that it wasn't displaying (Delphi) help files I downloaded and installed WinHlp32.exe from the MS website http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=91 and this solved the problem. But when I try to view the Windows SDK by selecting the appropriate menu item under the IDE Help menu I get the Winhelp runtime error message "Microsoft Help has stopped working". Can anyone suggest what needs to be done to be able to view the Windows SDK files that sh...

Cannot log in to OES Netware with Native File Access
