Problems with Windows Internet Explorer

Hi,

Could someone tell me if there is a known issue with workflows and the
internet explorer?
My form has some events that works in Firefox but not work in the IE.

Code:
--------------------
    dnOW = IDVault.get(null, form.getValue("solicitante") , "userUpdate", "secretary");
  if (IDVault.get(null, "'" + dnWO + "'", "WorkOrder", "DirXML-Other2") == "delete"){
  			field.hide();
  			field.disable();
  }

--------------------

Could someone help me?
Carol

It looks like most of those are generic IDVault get requests which
aren't really browser specific I wouldn't think.

You might be able to try "delete" == IDVault.get(null, "'" + dnWO +
"'", "WorkOrder", "DirXML-Other2") instead of the way you have it. If
the first part of the condition is null/empty, you might get an error
condition the way you have it.

What kind of error do you get?

Thanks for this reply, but...

I resumed the code to show only the part that was giving error. I
treat errors such as null or empty using try/catch.

The original code is:

Code:
--------------------
    try{
  	dnSubstuicao = IDVault.get(null, form.getValue("solicitante") , "userUpdate", "secretary");
  	if (dnSubstuicao.length > 0){
  		field.show();
  		field.enable();

  		if (IDVault.get(null, "'" + dnSubstuicao + "'", "WorkOrder", "DirXML-Other2") == "delete"){
  			field.hide();
  			field.disable();
  		}
  	} else {
  		field.hide();
  		field.disable();
  	}
  } catch (error) {
  	field.hide();
  	field.disable();
  };
--------------------

What is your issue? Are you receiving an error or are fields not
hiding? If they are not hiding, what type of field is it and what are
the properties set?

What is the exact version of the User Application that you are using?
Press the help link and provide the information at the bottom of the page.

Problem solved.

Don't work in IE, but in mozilla works:

Code:
--------------------
    if (IDVault.get(null, "'" + dnSubstuicao + "'", "WorkOrder", "DirXML-Other2") == "delete"){
--------------------

Works in both:

Code:
--------------------
    if (IDVault.get(null, dnSubstuicao.toString(), "WorkOrder", "DirXML-Other2") == "delete"){
--------------------

Internet Explorer is now Windows Explorer
I have Zone Alarm and in the past when I click on IE 5.5 it opens my browser, connects to the internet and shows up as the IE icon in Zone alarm. Recently I installed Morpheus file sharing program and then subsequently deleted it. Now however, unless I allow Windows Explorer access to the internet, I cannot surf. Once I allow it, everything works normally. I also notice that the IE icon is not in Zone alarm, just the Windows Explorer icon. I am wondering what I can do to get things back to normal or if its just really an annoyance to be ignored. -- Lauri :) ...

URL Handling Vulnerability in Windows XP and Windows Server,2003 with Windows Internet Explorer 7 Could Allow Remote Code Execution
Boy, that's a long subject line - but it's the title of Microsoft's KB article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/943521.mspx -- Microsoft details (a bit) its changes to URL, more correctly URI, handling in IE 7 on WinXP and Windows 2003. The problem is that IE 7 code "tries to fix up" malformed URIs, then passes the fixed-up URI to the ShellExecute procedure (on XP and Win2003). http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/archive/2007/10/10/msrc-blog-additional-details-and-background-on-security-advisory-943521.aspx OR http://tinyurl.com/yoadp8 ...

Explorer (file manager) in Windows Vista and Windows 7
One of my biggest issues with both Vista and Windows 7 is the tool provided for file management, "Windows Explorer" (more often left unnamed in its title bar by Microsoft in recent versions). To quote Elmer Fudd, "It's scwewy." Performance-wise: There's the Green Ribbon of Death. Vista's Explorer rather than simply displaying an organized list of files, attempts to categorize them using apparently atrociously actualized algorithms. I've seen it (Vista SP1 Explorer) take almost a minute on certain folders containing 200 files of many filety...
