SPAMMER?

In the past few days I've noticed an increase in the number of
undeliverables being sent to the Postmaster on this GW 5.1 system.
They are
all mass mailing to people with AOL account numbers. Can anyone shed
any
light on where these are coming from - header info below. I'm not sure
how
to read the coding. And then of course, how do I stop this. I'm sure
they
are not being generated my any of the GW users nor are the receipents
anyone
here.

Thanks

Judy

Thanks Michael... I see that some of the other messages have this IP
but
others are different, even though they are in the same format and with

similar subjects. What do I do about this?

We're getting hit by the same spammer(s) here.

It appears they're attempting to use our server as an open relay
though
since it's not set up for that their attack doesn't make much sense.
The
spam isn't coming in fast enough to be an efficient mailbomb attack
either.

Make sure your GroupWise system is set to not allow open relaying (if
the
option is available in your version).

I've reported the originating mail servers and open relays to their
admins
and ISPs.
