NW client causing Groupwise client install failure?
If GW software distribution folder is on NW server with traditional

Server is NW 6 sp3 or NW 6.5 sp1
client is 4.83 sp2 or sp3 or 4.9 sp1
Workstation is Win XP sp1
Install will complete if either GW software distribution folder is
moved to NSS volume, run off of CD, run through M$ share or WS is

The VPN portion connects to the BM Server and Internal IP Addresses can
be pinged, even an application on a privite side Windows server that

There are entries for each privie side Netware 6.5 server in the

In the client to site VPN Setup Under the DNS/SLP tab there are enties

that servers just running SLP are not listed.

We have a GroupWise 6.5 installation with SP5 applied to all agents. On
one of the post offices a few users have longer periods of time gaining
access to the client interface and web interface. It appears that the
lag may be during the authentication process which is via LDAP. There
are approximately 500+ users on the post office yet only 6 or so are
having this issue.
As mentioned, this lag happens via WebAccess or the Windows client so it
is difficult to pin point the problem, especially since its not a global
problem with the PO or any other PO in the GroupWise domain.

We have a user here who has recently noticed the time it takes for GroupWise
to open has increased.
Sure enough, if I login as myself, GroupWise client opens in around 5
seconds. Using the users login ID, it is taking 20 seconds.
The users mailbox is <200MB and mine is in excess of 800MB, so it can't be
anything to do with size.
Where do I start with this one?
Thanks in advance

I have a customer running GW6 on a nw6 server. Their email/webmail is
working great. A few of them have email address from another non
groupwise server. I set up a second pop3 account to go to a folder that I
created(also tried to send it to the inbox.) Groupwise shows that is
downloading messages 1/5 or however many, but I can not find them anywhere.
The log shows that it downloaded everything.
On the same note the other server also runs imap. I can set up a Imap

All seems good until starting Groupwise client 6.0.2. We connect client-
server only for gw client. But it's taking GW much longer to connect to
the server than before. I have both ip and ipx loaded on the server. With
the client upgrade, I removed ipx and installed ip only. I have re-added
nwlink and no change. I may try updated ip stack on server, but wanted to
see if anyone else has experienced this issue with nw client 4.90.

the box but it doesnt have an affect. I have checked the Single sign on

I am trying to install the GW 7 client on an XP SP2 desktop that previously
had Microsoft Outlook 2003 as its primary email client. If I install
Groupwise on this machine, it installs fine but the Address Book does not
function properly. On another machine this problem was fixed by
uninstalling Groupwise, uninstalling Outlook, rebooting, and reinstalling
Groupwise. In this case however, if Outlook is missing I cannot install GW
7, it keeps showing a bunch of dll errors and I also see this message:
