[Mozilla] <File Type>: ".url files not handled by Mozilla"

Hello,

Mozilla seems to be unable to handle .URL files (test file)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For example a .url on my desktop is:

'altavista.url'

and its content is:

[InternetShortcut]
URL=http://www.altavista.com
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If I drag and drop this file in Mozilla, it simply show me the text
content without open the website.

Thank you,
Lorenzo

<INPUT type="file" id="ifTest" and file size
I've got an web app where I need to have the client provide the local directory of some data to be sucked into SQL... I was going to cheat and have them locate 'any' file in the directory using a <INPUT type="file" and then back trim off the filename... leaving me with just the path. Everything works great as long as the file they happen to pick is small <5MB, but they happen to pick a large file then I get a "The page cannot be displayed" as soon as I hit a submit button. Once again - I'm not trying to 'upload' the big file - I just want to gr...

mozilla mail composer: quoting problems
Hi, I have configured Mozilla Mail so that the composer works text-only, which means I don't edit HTML messages. Moreover, when quoting I have configured it to use ">" as the quoting sign. No problems so far. Now, when I'm writing a message and copy and paste text, now and then manually inserting a ">" Mozilla Mail doesn't recognize that as quoted text any more and when I send the message "> " gets " > ". Now the text isn't colored any more when messages are displayed in a folder. I'd like to disabl...
