Hi Davide,

I have similar constellation but it works for me.
I have Bugzilla 2.18.3 installed on Win 2003 Server, MS Exchange Server 5.2
running.
As the Bugzilla-Guide said, I changed only the lines in Bugmail.pm:

    if ($enableSendMail == 1) {

        #Mike 07.07.2005

        use Net::SMTP;

        my $smtp_server = 'myexchangeservername.mydomainname.de';

        ($enableSendMail && $rcpt_to) || return;

        #use die on error, so that the mail will be in the 'unsent mails'

        #and can be sent from the sanity check page

        my $smtp = Net::SMTP->new($smtp_server) ||

          die 'No way to connect \'$smtp_server\'';

        $smtp->mail('blabla@mydomainname.de');

        $smtp->to($rcpt_to);

        $smtp->data();

        $smtp->datasend($msg);

        $smtp->dataend();

        $smtp->quit;

Did you call your server in the notation with domain and so on like me?

Have luck!
Mike

Help
Hi, We entered a dummy bug and ignored Bugzilla for a week. After a weekend, I found that there myriad reminder messages- one every 15 minutes for several days. 1. How do we change the reminder interval? I didn't add this job through administration->whining. So i am not able to configure it. I feel by default it taking the untouched bugs more than 7 days and sending mail to the reporter as remainder. Now i just want to change the interval to one day. When i search in internet i came to know bugzilla uses whine.pl to get the details of the whine jobs. And if th...

transporting settings/emails from mozilla-mail to mozilla-mail
Hallo, I've got a really, really big problem. I'm working with mozilla-mail on an Linux OS for about 2 or 3 years. Two months ago my harddisk crashed. To keep on working , I set up a new Linux OS with the new mozilla-mail. Now the harddisk is repaired. I could reach my mails and setings (filter, accounts...) of the last 2 or 3 Years again, if I knew how to import these information from the old system into the new system. Help needed, because I'm without any e-mail-address of the last 2 or 3 years. Thanks Karsten ...

how to configure mail server in bugzilla?
hello! Do you know how to configure a mail server(send mail or other mail server) in bugzilla, so it can send mail to user or an bug assigner? Thanks! You need to setup sendmail or postfix (this is on linux) and configure these according to your circumstances. I had a lot a trouble setting up sendmail to use a "smart host" (to forward mail to another mail server) and decided to use postfix in the end, which meant no trouble at all. I have Groupwise installed in one of our offices in which mail boxes have been craeted for staff of that office (let's call it officeA). Note that all staff irrespective of their office locations are on the same domain (expdisc.com) What it does currently is to send a returned mail indicating that the intended recipient does not exist. Bugzilla with centralized mail server
hi all, I am researching on how to make Bugzilla use centralized mail server instead of rely on the sendmail. From what I learned so far, I know that this is possible but requires a lot of hacking on the code by myself or using the latest patch in bugid: 84876. Am I right on this? If I will use the patch, can someone tell me what else I will need to install/prepare except the patch file itself? What else I should be aware of? Also, does the pathch change the database structure? or it'll just change the way it delivers messages? cheers, h.s Sheng Han wrote: >...
