Summary: All passwords and cookies lost with restart of Firefox
Since my most recent update (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
en-US; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/184.108.40.206) every site I visit
treats me like a new visitor. Despite the fact that my cookies are
still there for the site, the site is not recognizing me, cause me to
have to sign in to each one. It's really frustrating, and especially
since I can't find any setting to change to prevent this problem.

I use Mozilla 1.4 & like the convenience of the Password Manager.
Occasionally though, there is a site for which the "Do you want to remember
the values you filled in?" option never appears, like the login window for
my Netbank accounts. I have made sure no url resembling the Netbank login
appears in the password manager, either under already saved passwords or
under "never save passwords for this site", yet no matter how often I log in
there, no prompt to save the info ever appears. How can I get the prompt to

I have used Thunderbird on Windows 2000 for years to access my mailboxes
from earthlink.net. In the last month, my passwords have suddenly become
not recognized and I had to have earthlink.net reset them. One of my
inboxes lost all of its mail yesterday. I am not technically
knowledgeable at all but I'm ready to look for another mail organizer
because I'm so frustrated. I like Thunderbird because all of my
mailboxes are visible simultaneously and I don't have to log in and out
of each one. I'm getting very nervous about all the trouble I've been
having. HELP...lost all my stored passwords, but the password file is there?

...HTTP::Cookies patch: allow mozilla cookies
below you find a patch to HTTP::Cookies::Netscape::load() that allows
the module to accept cookie files made by Mozilla, not only Netscape.
Why: In most systems, Netscape version 4 and below are phased out or not
installed anymore. Instead, people use Netscape version 6/7 or Mozilla.
It is therefore important to update Perl's cookie file handling code to
understand and correctly process Mozilla cookie files.
