This is the old, "supposed to be out-of-use" newsgroup. Propagated to
usenet.

This is the new one available via news.mozilla.org (or google).
You should use this one.

And this wasn't even though for the current SeaMonkey project. It was
for mozilla.org project planning, the naming dates back to the old days
of that codename...

The netscape.public.mozilla.* newsgroups were originally for
developers only. But because end users started to use those groups
for themselves, new groups were created, which are mozilla.support.*

If you're looking for support in using the various Mozilla products,
then use the groups that have the word support in them

Create a news account for news.mozilla.org and subscribe from there.
Just clicking a link to

Proposal: Move "Mozilla Labs" from "" to "Client Software"
The "Other Applications" product, containing ChatZilla, DOM Inspector etc. is in the "Client Software" Classification. It seems to make sense to have the "Mozilla Labs" product (which contains Joey and Operator at the moment) in the same Classification, rather than the current "Client Support". Doesn't it? "Using" or "With"

Using "+" or "||"
Using SQLAnywhere 5.5.04, I've gotten into the habit of using "||" in ISQL to indicate a string concatenation. I needed to paste my SQL statement into the PowerBuilder script painter for some embedded SQL, and PB didn't like the "||" very much at all. I changed it to "+" and it seems to be ok. Do these two operators indicate ~exactly~ the same thing? moin, afaik these two's are not the same! if you're using "||" and any term is NULL then in the resultstring the term will be ignored if you use "+" then the resu...

"Mozilla Sunbird" vs. "Calendar"
Hi there ! Older version used to install in a directory named "Calendar". Somewhere in the 0.7 line, this changed to "Mozilla Sunbird", which sounds reasonable according to FF and TB. And as the update is still broken, I installed 0.8pre manually and ended up with "Calendar" again. Is this a bug or is it maybe just a difference between "pre" and "final"? I'm not sure when the change happened exactly. Regards fw Frank Winkler wrote: > Is this a bug or is it maybe just a difference between "pre" and > ...

mozilla mail composer: quoting problems
Hi, I have configured Mozilla Mail so that the composer works text-only, which means I don't edit HTML messages. Moreover, when quoting I have configured it to use ">" as the quoting sign. No problems so far.
