Thunderbird mail opens links in email in a new mozilla window everytime I click on a link in an email.
Thunderbird mail opens links in email in a new mozilla window everytime I click on a link in an email. I want to open emailed links in the same browser window every time. Does anyone know where the file or menu to fix this is in Mozilla? A fellow told me where to find this in Firefox: in Firefox it can be found at Edit|Preferences|Advanced|Tabbed Browsing. Under 'Open links from other applications in' select 'the most recent tab/window' instead of 'a new window'. But I couldn't find it in Mozilla. Thanks in advance J J wrote: > Th...

transporting settings/emails from mozilla-mail to mozilla-mail
Hallo, I've got a really, really big problem. I'm working with mozilla-mail on an Linux OS for about 2 or 3 years. Two months ago my harddisk crashed. To keep on working , I set up a new Linux OS with the new mozilla-mail. Now the harddisk is repaired. I could reach my mails and setings (filter, accounts...) of the last 2 or 3 Years again, if I knew how to import these information from the old system into the new system. Help needed, because I'm without any e-mail-address of the last 2 or 3 years. Thanks Karsten ...

Thunderbird links save a temp file and then open file in browser instead of following link...
I have a strange situation with Thunderbird e-mail links. When I click on a link, it brings up my browser. But instead of opening the link directly (say http://www.myispmonsters.com), it saves the linked page to a file in my temp directory and then opens that (say file:///C:/WINDOWS/TEMP/etig0sor.htm.htm). This is not the old "default browser" issue. It opens the correct browser whether its IE or FireFox. But either browser shows the same downloaded temp file instead of the link. Some more installation woes and hints... I originally had Netscape 7.2 on my machine a...

Open Firefox from Mozilla email links?
I installed Firefox 1.0 PR and made it my main browser. When opening email in Mozilla email and clicking on a link, it would open in Firefox. I installed Thunderbird, but uninstalled it when I found it still doesn't sync the address book to my Palm Pilot. I never set up and email account. Now going back to using Mozilla email and clicking on a URL always opens the Mozilla browsers. I checked and Firefox is the main browser. I reinstalled Firefox and that didn't help. I used a program called SetBrowser http://www.pc-tools.net/ and still email URLs open Netscape. ...

Links in mail no longer open in Mozilla
Hello, Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040918 It's odd. Clicked on a link in a mail message this morning and it opened in the browser as expected. This afternoon it does not. Up until 15 minutes ago I was using v1.8.a4. I thought it was a defect in the release so I reverted to v1.7.3. No change. Argh. Is there a config setting that controls how links are opened? I looked through the mail.* listing in about:config and saw nothing obvious. Same for Mail/Newsgroups settings. -- jmm dash list at sohnen-moe dot com (Remove DESPAMMZ for emai...
