Chrome: unable to change default browser in Thunderbird
I've been using Thunderbird (2.0.0.24) with html attachments opening in Firefox. I just installed the new Chrome browser (5.0.375.70) and like it very much, enough so that I decided to switch from Firefox now that the Add-Ons I like are available for Chrome (Lastpass, Adblock, AutoPager). I've made Chrome the default browser in KDE's "Configure Desktop>Default Applications", but html attachments in Thunderbird still open in Firefox. I've tried most of the fixes offered on this and other forums as well as those offered by Mozilla's various help f...

Thunderbird Windows to Thunderbird Linux
I have a dual boot system set-up with Windows XP and Fedora Core 2. I use Thunderbird on both platforms; how can I easily import my mail and mail settings (filters, accounts, etc) from Windows XP Thunderbird to Fedora Core 2 Thunderbird?? I have all of my Windows partitions mounted in Fedora, so accessing the Thunderbird settings directory isn't a problem. I'm currently running TB 1.0RC1 on Win XP and TB 0.9 on FC2. Thanks in advance! Do you want to use mozilla thunderbird as the default mail application
I'm running the latest TB 1.5.0.5. I just created a new non-admin account. Whenever I launch TB, I always get a dialogue box asking "Do you want to use mozilla thunderbird as the default mail application?". I doesn't matter how I answer, I always get the same question when I next start TB, even if I check "Do not display this dialogue again". I followed the solution message 8 of http://tinyurl.com/hjlax (http://groups.google.ca/group/24hoursupport.helpdesk/browse_thread/thread/f07dbb05ebe3cd09/eefc18d579883e36?lnk=st&q=%22do+you+want+to+use+mozilla+thu...

'Start -> E-mail [Mozilla Thunderbird]' starts two Thunderbird windows.
Hi, I am seeing this unexpected behavior with Thunderbird's trunk builds on Windows XP. When I start Thunderbird using the 'Start -> E-mail [Mozilla Thunderbird]' way, I always get two windows of Thunderbird. That is not the case when I use the 'Start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Thunderbird -> Mozilla Thunderbird]' way. The later only opens one window - as expected. I believe this is related to the 'minimize to tray' extension, because when I disable that extension, everything is just fine. The extension does not say it is compatible with ...
