New option in Mozilla Mail&News 1.6a?

I noticed somewhere on mozilla.org web site, that it's new to Mozilla 1.6a
that you can change headers when posting message, but I can't find it
anymore on mozilla.org or within mail&news in composition window when
writing a message.
So, where is it?

Mozilla 1.7.10 messed up mail&news.
I'm going to have to go back to an earlier version, regardless of security concerns. The latest version 1.7.10 messed up the mail and news function. I can't get accurate displays of the number of messages in subscribed news groups -- sometimes the unread messages just vanish from the list of groups on the left side of the screen when I click on the group to display the headers. Sometimes unread messages are displayed but nothing comes up when I click on the news group. To top it off, the upgrade introduced problems in writing messages -- the cursor sticks and won't ...

Mozilla 1.6 Mail&News View menu
The 'View' filter menu unfortunately works only on a per message basis which makes it impossible to filter for threads. For example actually it is not possible to create a filter with this properties: "View all threads which contain a message with [this] properties". This feature could be easily implemented in the following way: In the 'Message View Setup' window underneath the filter list just place a checkbox '[Display] Whole Thread'. Then when this option is checked together with the filtered message all other messages in the same thread w...

Mozilla 1.7.10
Does my problem only exist in the OS/2 Mozilla 1.7.10 ? As soon as SSL is enabled, the mail download button simply does nothing. First I thought it's due to my old profile, but then I created a new one and got the same. If SSL is disabled the download works. Anyone sees the same issue on other platforms ? A way to reorder the mail/news accounts in Mozilla Mail ?
I have many email accounts, mostly due to using temporary email addresses. Each listserv/news server I belong to could have its own account, and I use some more than others, so I would love to be able to just drag those to the top of the list. For instance, I have had this address for my news.mozilla.org nntp account for better than a year but never felt the need to post anything; since you are all doing such a wonderful job! ;-) Many thanks! Mozilla Mail&News quoting
I'm just curious... As most Mozilla users know, the program turns quotation symbols (> > > ) into vertical bars. However, if I try to fool it by writing the symbols myself, like in this fake quotation: > This is a fake quote. Here is some extra text to make > the quote two lines long. ....Mozilla doesn't turn it into a vertical bar. Why is that? What is the trigger for an "actual" quote? mozilla 1.7.10: mail and news folder change bug?
Hi, I'm running slackware 10.1 with updates and just upgraded to mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-1.7.10.tar.gz from mozilla.org. When I switch between folders (mail or news) in the left-most vertical pane (using mouse or keyboard), the right panes (top showing list of messages, bottom showing selected message) don't always refresh. This never happened when using previous mozilla releases. Before I file a bug report, has anyone else experienced this behavior? Does anyone have any information or a solution to this problem? Thank you for your assistance, Peter psant...

transporting settings/emails from mozilla-mail to mozilla-mail
Hallo, I've got a really, really big problem. I'm working with mozilla-mail on an Linux OS for about 2 or 3 years. Two months ago my harddisk crashed. To keep on working , I set up a new Linux OS with the new mozilla-mail. Now the harddisk is repaired. I could reach my mails and setings (filter, accounts...) of the last 2 or 3 Years again, if I knew how to import these information from the old system into the new system. Help needed, because I'm without any e-mail-address of the last 2 or 3 years. Thanks Karsten ...
