Octane has been deprecated.

There should be a possibility to change TABs into SPACEs. Hm, space all
in caps looks funny. :)

I did that test a few days ago.

See
<https://groups.google.com/d/msg/mozilla.general/rAZGTXmeA3I/p4CyulUhCAAJ>

That was before Ubuntu updated Firefox to 53.0 and beta updated to 54.0b1.

Maybe I'll run them again and compare results.

Does that mean anything without stating what you have for hardware and
Internet connection?

My tests on my Windows 10 laptop with a 2.2 GHz APU and 6 GB RAM were
considerably lower than the tests on my Linux desktop with a 3.2 GHz CPU
and 8 GB RAM. DSL internet connections.

I wondered the same myself.

Yeah, you got me on that, I should've factored that in.

Win10 Pro x64, 32GB RAM (using 4GB for cache/temp files on a RAMdisk),
i7-5820K processor (OCd to 4.4MHz), NVIDIA Geforce GTX 960(x2) in SLI,
cable interwebs at 50Mbps down, 10Mbps up. Tested on Waterfox
(Mozilla-based, 64-bit browser).
