Upgrade from Mozilla 1.7.13 to Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 or 2.0.0.22

Hi,

Im trying to upgrade from Mozilla 1.7.1.3 to Thunderbird.
During the Installation Thunderbird recognizes my old Mozilla Installation
and asks which of the existing profiles to Import.
I then specify the profile and the Import process starts.

The Process finishes without error messages. When i the open Thunderbird,
I will find that it Imported the Adressbook successfully, it as well shows
the Top Level Folders (philipp.schlaeppi@swissonline.ch, Local Folders,
news.swissonline.ch, news) are the same as in the original Mozilla Installation.

Sadly though it doesn't have any of the Subfolders or even mails imported.

The problem is the same for both of the Thunderbird versions I tried.

- what could be the cause of this importation problem and what can be
   undertaken to remedy the problem?
- i've roughly 150 Folders in my "Local Folders" and roughly 700 Mails in
the Inbox and 1000 mails in the different Folders in "Local Folders"
- I had moved my Mail Folders a few years back to my D: Drive since i use
this as my Data Drive so that i can restore my System Partition without
loosing any mail data. Could this be relevant?
- ist there a way to import any of the other profiles additionally

I'd appreciate any help resolving the problem if possible at all or an
alternative way to get the Mails fom Mozilla into Thunderbird.

Kind regards

Philipp

All of your files are compatible with Thunderbird.
If you know the location of your old profile, and your new TB profile, you can just copy or drag and drop them to the new
profile. Don't bother with the .msf files, as they will be recreated as needed.
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird gives you info on profiles. (seems to be down at the moment)
BTW You would be better off going directly to TB 2.0.0.22, or even the current beta of TB3 (in my sig)

Is it just me or has the Fandango site stopped working with FF (1.5.0.7, 1.5.0.9, 2.0) on eComStation 1.2 ?
Hi all, I've possibly messed up my Firefox installations, but other pages still seem to work OK. Has anyone else had problems recently with http://www.fandango.com ? The home page comes up, and then completely hangs my system, and even if I ctrl-alt-delete and kill Firefox with TOP, I just get a black screen and have to re-boot. It used to work fine. If it's just me, does anyone have any advice for what might be happening or how to go about figuring it out ? Tracking Significant Regressions between Thunderbird 1.5.0.x and 2.0.0.0
As we start down the path of offering a major update for 1.5.0.x users to Thunderbird 2, it would be good to keep track of serious regressions introduced in TB2. Hopefully we can all work together to fix as many of these issues as possible in a point release before offering a major update. I've created a tracking bug to keep track of this list: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378635 If you find more issues, let's get them added to the tracking bug.
