Text overlap nuisance

A while ago TB started displaying parts (or all) of the text in some
messages overlapped, as illustrated in the screenshot below. I haven't
been able to establish a pattern for this irritating behaviour yet, and
I haven't seen any reports about it, so I assume it is caused by one of
my add-ons in conjunction with a recent TB update.

The text overlap disappears when I use /Reply/ or /Edit As
New//Message/, but it is nevertheless getting increasingly irritating.

Any idea which of my numerous add-ons (see list below) might be causing
this? Testing them all individually could be a little tedious :-)

Thank you
Herbert Eppel

You have to change the userContent.css as explained on the website. I
think the relevant change was to change height into max-height.

  max-height: 2.25ex !important;

Release notes for 1.1
- Fixed/restored "Expand all quotes by default" support (broken in 1.0)
Note though, the necessary style has a tiny change in a
backward-incompatible manner – users who customise the AddOn need to adjust
(see the customising instructions).

	[list of extensions snipped]

Beyond the immediate solution by Onno Ekker, you should consider the
following.

First of all, attachments to messages in this newsgroup -- including
embedded images -- are generally stripped away. Always do what you
finally did: put them on some image Web site and give us the link.

As for diagnosing which of many extensions is causing a problem, do a
binary search. That means disabling (not deleting) half of the
extensions and then testing. If the problem does not go away, it is in
one of the extensions NOT disabled. When you determine which group
caused the problem, disable half of those. Etc, etc. At any time,
re-enable any that were not in the group causing the problem. Normally,
you can very quickly isolate the problematic extension.

If this does not isolate your problem, the problem might be caused by
the mutual incompatibility of two or more exensions. That does happen
but not often, so I will not describe how to handle that at this time.

First you say you do, and then you don't.
And then you say you will, but then won't.
You're undecided now, so what're you goin' to do?

does not understand "commitment", whether it is about

QuoteCollapse is indeed the "culprit", thank you.

It is relatively recent phenomenon (a couple of months or so), so it
must either have been introduced with a recent TB update, or there is a
compatibility issue with an add-on I may have installed at the time.

Is there a way to check the dates when add-ons were installed?

Interesting, thank you. It looks a little complex, and I'm afraid any
manual intervention I may attempt may cause more damage than good, so I
think I'll see how I get on without QuoteCollapse for the time being.

As yes, thanks for the reminder of the "binary search" procedure. I'll
try and remember it for future add-on issues.
