TB1.5 Extension not installing

I've just upgraded to 1.5. 'Unselect Message' extension disappeared
after installation of 1.5 so re-installed it using the correct method
but it is now stuck in the Extension box as 'Unselect Message will be
installed when Thunderbird is restarted' (or Upgraded or Deleted) but it
wont do any of these even after a Windows reboot. Any ideas on what
needs to be deleted from my profile. I notice that I have 3 extensions
listed here (long numbers rather than IDs) but none installed in TB.
Thanks

Can you uninstall the extension?
Did you bump up the compatibility yourself?

Unselect Message won't uninstall. If I try it just sits there saying
that it will uninstall when TB is restarted.
It was listed as compatible with 1.5

Installing extensions in Thunderbird 5 by using the extensions folder
Dear all, as already described at [1] and [2] it was possible to install extensions by copying the XPI files to the %profile%/extensions folder. Unfortunately Thunderbird ignores this procedure in version 5. Does anyone know how to install extensions via the command line or can me point to an according manual? Cannot install extensions in fresh Thunderbird Install
This messages is copied both the n.p.m.mail-news and .builds newsgroups. After a fresh install of Thunderbird 1.0.6, I cannot install Extensions. I download the .xpi, and then click "install" in the Extension Manager, and select the ".xpi" file and nothing happens: It returns me to the extension manager. The problem occurs both in the source tree and in the system locations, as root or as a regular user. Extensions that were installed with a different version of TB work in the newer version, as well. Any help would be appreciated! System information availa...

Modifying 3.5 web.config to support 3.5 Extension
My project is currently running with the framework 3.5 web.config. I am interested to use some of the new Ajax functionalities found in Extension 3.5 (ScriptManager EnableHistory attribute etc.).  I looked at the generic web.config files produced by Extension 3.5 which appear to syntactically differ quite a bit from the standard config file. I had difficulties porting my current web.config setup to Extension 3.5. Does anyone know what sections to change to make my config file support these new Ajax extensions?  TIA for any hints.   Hi,try this readme for information on ...

Hi folks, after having installed Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 (Weilbacher) I tried to install add-ons in vain. All installation links (Extension, Themes, Spelling dictionaries) in the appropriate dialogs simply do nothing. This is also the case when I have Firefox running in parallel with SET LIBPATHSTRICT=T etc. What am I doing wrong? Thunderbird extension install
Hi, I've been trying to create a Thunderbird extension, and http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/specs/extensions.html recommends basing it on the Offline extension. Adapting Offline files, I got a skeleton, but the installation I've copied isn't really satisfactory (in Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 on Gentoo): 1) I can only install as root. Offline asks the user whether to install in profile or in Thunderbird directory; under my user account, installation in profile fails with error -239, in Thunderbird directory with error -215. 2) The extension doesn't show in ...

unable to install a Thunderbird extension
hello all, I apparently am really making a simple activity very difficult (impossible) here. I hope someone can point out how I can reverse that. I am unable to add an extension to Thunderbird 1.5. I am using an administrative XP account--my usual login.) Here is my flightpath: 1) I start Thunderbird. 2) I do tools > extensions to open the extensions window (no extensions are installed yet) 3) I click the install button and the "Select an Extension to Install" window opens 4) I select the already downloaded extension (unselect_message-1.3-mz +tb.xpi) and c...
