Filelink broken?

Last night I tried sending a large attachment using filelink with
dropbox. When linking the attachment I an got error that it coudn't
authenticate dropbox. After looking into it, it appears dropbox support
is currently broken. So I tried using box. I registered for a box
account and tried adding it as the storage service in Thunderbird.
However, during the process of adding it appeared to hang. So I
cancelled the operation, but now I can't add any storage service. The
"select an online storage server" dropdown doesn't respond!

Any ideas how to fix this? I use filelink fairly often and really want
to get this working again. Thanks!

I believe box was removed sometime ago. Mozilla relies on these
companies donating something in return for links in the browser and/or
TB but when they stop donations then their links also goes. However,
this is just speculation from my side as I have never used any of them.
I tried once to use Box but it didn't work so I gave up. I don't use
Dropbox so I don't now about it.

I don't know, but it doesn't appear among the filelink addons
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/thunderbird/search/?q=filelink

For Dropbox it just needs someone to update the addon to use the
new API. But there are other ways to share a file on
 dropbox.

I actually used Box a couple of days ago to send a 40 MB file. Had to
re-authorise Box by entering my Box password as I hadn't used it for a
long time. I then uploaded the file. It did take several minutes before
it was processed and I got a message saying it was ready to send and
gave me the Box link for the file.

I also had Hightail in my list but when I tried to re-authorise it I got
a message stating, '...current version of Thunderbird only allows one
account from each online storage service.' A somewhat misleading
message as it was a different online storage service I was trying to add.

I have now managed to set up another Filelink account, Megabird from the
link provided by Dave. Once I had set up an account with Megabird and
installed the add-on in Thunderbird I went to Tools>Options>Attachments,
in Thunderbird, clicked on Add and followed the prompts. I'm guessing
the problem with Hightail is that it's not in the list of add-ons.

Mega, eh? Kim Dotcom's thing.

Incidentally, the last time I used filelink it was to send
screenshots to Netgear support. They didn't accept email. So I
used it to set up an email - then copied it, including the links,
into their website message form. I then had a record of the
 conversation in drafts.

Yes, I thought box was natively supported (no add-on needed).

The problem I'm having is that before box was listed as an option when
selecting the storage service provider. Now it's not. How do I get it
back???
