Thunderbird 52.7.0, x64

A customer is asking me how to get Thunderbird to display
the following lines correctly:

Please let me know you received this email
      by replying Got it

I think `` may be a space, but ????

Many thanks,

Went into the config editor and changed

      mail.strictly_mime to true

on the sending Thunderbird. That fixed the issue.
