"Use Default Server" redux

I apologize for all the confusion regarding my recent post: "Use Default
Server" question -- Where do I set the default SMTP server?
I know that it frustrated many people, and I regret that.

What you can do: Kindly look at my enhancement request,
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1364665
and add your support to that case (if it makes sense to you).

Kind Regards,
Mark.

Pointless, since you can already do what you want. As I and several=20
others have explained to you.

Well, that's one "No" vote for the enhancement request.
(I assume you did read it, Wolf.)

Regards,
Mark.

Apology accepted. But, when you select an Account, click "View settings
for this account", it opens an Account Settings window in every version
of Thunderbird I use.

Do you still not know how to set a default SMTP server? If so:

1. Open the Account Settings window.

2. Select "Outgoing SMTP Server (SMTP)" in the left pane.

3. In the right pane, select the server you want to be the default.

4. Select the Set Default button. (Note: This button is disabled if
the selected server is already the default.)

5. Select the OK button.

Since I consider my SMTP servers to be accounts no less than the POP3
server used by each account, I see no need for your RFE bug.

Consider:
* Most state mandate that drivers have liability insurance.
* Employers are mandated to have worker's compensation insurance.
* If you live in a flood zone, flood insurance is mandatory.
* If your home has a mortgage, fire insurance is mandatory.

Why then is mandatory health insurance so bad??
