Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.

I killed it as soon as it first appeared; it was taking 40-50% of my cpu!

Resolved by killing javascript & then later found that I could kill it
off by Adblock Plus settings.

Many others had a crapload of issues as well:

What a total boggle on Google's part.

I am under Debina GNU/LIux 5.0 Lenny and with original Firefox plus the
latesd stable and the devel version plus Seamonkey 2.0.4 I can enter the
Google Website, but a singel klick on the JavaScript Game let the CPU
resurces increase to 100% on a Athlon XP 3000+ with 3 GByte of memory
and arround 27% on a AMD Phenom Quad-Core with 16 GByt of memory.

I was not aware, Google-Coders can code such crap.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

Yes, cleared cache and enable cookies (for 'same').

What does appear is not the pacman game but a
large dark horizontal bar and a small dark box!
Obviously a piece of the pacman domain ...

By the way, it seemed to take quite a bit of time to appear AFTER all
downloading completed. I think it depends on a very inefficient, slow
JavaScript.

I know what it's supposed to look like - after all, I was there when
pacman was introduced :-)

And now it has gone - is the pacman archived somewhere?

Google traditionally archives all nonstandard logos in this page:

http://www.google.com/logos/index.html

I just looked there, and the Pac-Man didn't arrive yet. But I expect it
will come in a couple days, unless Google runs into some sort of
intellectual property problem.

Well it's a lot faster on webkit browsers, but the SM js isn't that bad.
