Seamonkey 2.2 mail client temporary files deletion failure

Seamonkey 2.2 mail client temporary files deletion failure - On Seamonkey 2.2
and 2.1, it has been noted that the mail client (i.e. Messenger) fails to delete
temporary files such as NSCOPY.TMP and NSEMAIL.EML from the Windows temporary
folder. In previous versions of SM including 1.X and 2.X up to before 2.1, these
temporary files would be deleted and cleaned up properly by the mail client.
Hopefully, developers will see this and include this issue for future version
bug fixes.

Seamonkey 2.2 e-mail client : where has right=click "Paste as quotation" gone ?
Just attempted to reply to a friend's e-mail having first reformatted the original text in an external editor to have line breaks at or before column-72 (he is one of those annoying people who insist on sending infinitely long lines), only to find that right-click "Paste as quotation" has disappeared. It is still possible from the Edit menu, but I am so used to accessing it from a right-click that I feel distinctly lost without it. Seamonkey 2.2
more cracks than the earth's crust. I have just downloaded a few minutes ago and I have a crashed browser. This has more problems than a child abuse victim Firstly I have lost almost all of my bookmarks bar; The bookmarks panel is a mess; my newsgroups were lost and had to be reloaded. Every time I try to get a group it reloads the lot at the expense of *my* bandwidth; and it does not go through my firewall in spite the fact that SeaMonkey is authorised and still is on the firewall setup. It seems I am now stuck with v2.0.14 for ever. D. ...

Seamonkey 2.2-2.3.3 Individual History Item Will No Longer Delete :-(
I upgraded one of my installations of Seamonkey 2.0.14 to 2.2. Once I had upgraded I noticed I was unable to delete history item in the history window. I can however delete *.domain.com or www.doamin.com. I figured this would have been fixed in a later Seamonkey update. But after two or three more updates the problem continues. This happens on clean installs as well as upgraded installations. Developers: Please fix! I make heavy use of my history. Seamonkey 2.1/2.2 breaking Java plugin support on Centos 5 Linux?
I'm a long-time user of Seamonkey, from since it was called Mozilla. The recent 2.1 and 2.2 updates seem to have broken Java support on my Centos 5.5 box (32 bits) and I really can't figure this out. Seamonkey is installed in /usr/local. Starting from 2.1, the /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins directory is gone. As per the release notes, plugins are now managed on a per-user basis in $HOME/.mozilla/plugins So far, so good. I used to have a link in /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins pointing to /usr/local/jre1.6.0_12/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so (I install Sun's...

Same profile in Seamonkey 2.4.1 and Seamonkey 2.6.1 ?
Hi, I will switch a computer from windows to linux and from Seamonkey 2.6.1 to Seamonkey 2.4.1 (I don't know why Ubuntu only have 2.6.1 on Precise alpha release). I think there no big differences between these two releases that will bring bug into profile. Am I false? On my computer I directly use Seamonkey from Mozilla, on that computer I don't want to have work, so I only keep Ubuntu repositories. -- Sorry for possible mistakes in English! http://pasdenom.info/ Stphane Grgoire wrote: > Hi, > > I will switch a computer from windows to linux and...

Seamonkey 2.2 to 2.3.1 Fer it or Again it?
So I got 2.2, a huge disappointment with lots of annoying bugs in mail and one big one in web (RMB context menu bug). The new level of issues makes me scared to update, even though this is the most buggy version of since perhaps Moz 0.6. So what are the big new 2.3.1 issues that were not in 2.2? Should I be scared or should I update? I have never had an update before 2.2 that I questioned going back before. hawker wrote: > So I got 2.2, a huge disappointment with lots of annoying bugs in > mail and one big one in web (RMB context menu bug). Seamonkey 2.7.2 unread mail display
I just installed Seamonkey 2.7.2 (Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; Warp 4.5; rv:10.0.12) Gecko/20130108 Firefox/10.0.12 SeaMonkey/2.7.2) and unread mail is no longer displayed in bold. On every previous version I've used (which isn't all of them) unread mail always was displayed in red. The flag is still there but it's (obviously) a lot easier to notice one bolded line compared with a small dot. Is there a setting or something I've missed here? Thanks, Dave David Bongo wrote: > I just installed Seamonkey 2.7.2 (Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2;...

Seamonkey 2.7.2 inbox mail gone/cleared
I have 3 profiles on one computer under Seamonkey 2.7.2 In the last few days, two of the profiles/accounts Inbox has just cleared out leaving nothing in the Inbox folder. All the other folders are ok. Is this some bug in 2.7.2 or what. I don't suppose there is any way to recover the inbox since there is no recent backup (although there is now one of the one that didn't disappear and all the other profiles and folders) but I wonder what else could cause this. Is there a way to stop Seamonkey from updating? Thanks, Tom On 25/02/2012 12:20 AM, Tom wrote: > I have 3 profi...

SeaMonkey 1.1.18 vs SeaMonkey 2.1 (if/when 2.1 is released)
I will clearly state that I am not a computer whiz...thus, I have a number of concerns regarding SeaMonkey 2.0 installation on my system. I have been reading the many SeaMonkey 2.0 messages on this newsgroup with some concern about my ability to fix the problems that could occur with the installation of 2.0. It seems that the move from 1.1.18 to 2.0 is not happening without a number of glitches along the way. Thus, in light of what I have read, I am wondering if it would wise for me to wait for a future release of SeaMonkey before upgrading my system...I suppose I am hoping tha...

SeaMonkey 2.15 #2
I received two quick responses, and one of them disappeared right after I read it. I think the question was whether right-clicking on the Inbox and repairing it solves the problem. No, the messages do not reappear. And I'm not allowing SeaMonkey to do anything with the messages automatically. I don't see any instruction or preference that would explain what is happening. I also meant to include that my OS is Windows XP Professional 2002 with Service Pack 3. Ken Dixon wrote: > I received two quick responses, and one of them disappeared right after > I read i...
