Get rid of SM email or I get rid of browser!
I use Windows 7 and am FED UP with SM 2.0's demanding that I use its email client! I want the BROWSER ONLY. I've been using Pegasus Mail as my client since 1994 and wont stop. Yet something wont allow me to make that my default email client in SM, it opens SM's mail client for any email link I click on and wont allow it to be changed. I either get this to stop or I gotta find another browser, this is BULL! -- Jane Galt "There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes t...

I want to get rid of GroupWise Addressing in Address books
I am an IT manager for a mid-sized Engineering company in western Canada. I am having trouble sorting out GroupWise Internet Addressing. Specifically, the system address books in our various offices show "groupwise" formated addresses (domain.po.user.domain etc.). The problem is when users send out an internet message and cc someone in a another of our offices, the unusable GroupWise formatted address is used in the message to the outside client. When the outside client "replies all", the user's message from the other office gets bounced because it's...

Getting Rid of Email Address Suffixes
Is there a simple way to eliminate the need for the last part of the email address when logging in or adding users to bugs, etc? Users are forced to use username@company.com for everything. It would save a lot of trouble to eliminate the @company.com suffix when using logins, Add CC, etc. All of our users have the same email suffix, so it is really annoying to our users and not necessary. I do use the suffix in the regexp field to automatically add users to groups, but the overhead saved there does not make up for the lost time typing out full email addresses. So losing this ...

getting rid of old email addresses that are sent
Name: Gary Smalleyh Email: gnasmalleyatcomcastdotnet Product: Thunderbird Summary: getting rid of old email addresses that are sent Comments: Need to find a way to be able to forward an email that has been sent to us WITHOUT having all of the old email address tag along. This is such a horrible nuisance and I do not like my email address sent all over the world to people I do not know. With Outlook Express you are able to hit "forward", delete all of the old addresses and then sent the message. This does NOT send all the old garbage with the mail you send....

Re: Getting SMTP address from Outlook Address book
Bruce, further to my most recent post, the app crashes before even returning to PB. At msdn they have VB code that checks for the cancel button ( error value of 1275). The problem is I don't know how to trap this error code because I assign what the address book returns to MAPIRecipients oleobject. Also in VB they use On Error GoTo err_CreateSessionAndLogon which is a function that checks the error number. When the user selects OK and has not selected anyone from the address book, the app works fine. "William Wahab" <william.wahab@dfait-maeci.gc.ca> wrote in...

Is there a way to get more than two email addresses in SM2's address books?
Hi! In SM2's current address books, I could enter two e-mail addresses for "Email" and "Additional Email" for each contact. Is there a way to add more "Email" for more addresses? Some contacts have way more than two e-mail addresses so I had to put the extras into the extras forms like Others' Notes section. :( Thank you in advance. :) -- "Why eat ants when an uncle will do?" --Tymoutta Aardvarka of Sarcastica /\___/\ Phil./Ant @ http://antfarm.ma.cx (Personal Web Site) / /\ /\ \ Ant's Quality ...

Re: seamonkey address book
Hi Seamonkey team, I now realize perhaps I did not make clear that I was only referring to the "compose" mode in mail where the "address-book" icon in seamonkey-mail allows no deleting of email entries in personal address book, as it is stripped or dumbed down for deleting for whatever reason. Unfortunately this icon sits looking intuitively at you in the second bar menu. If you come from Thunderbird, you think it is the main address book, and that this is dysfunctional, and wonder how to delete wrong or unnecessary email addresses, for the email addres...
