Hi,

we have the 2 bug reports

Bug 1677273 - Accounts and folders invisible in folder pane after
upgrade to [macOs 11.0. big sur]
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1677273

Bug 1677316 - [macOs 11.0 big sur] blank popup menu
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1677316

which might indicate that SeaMonkey becomes unusable after update /
upgrade to that macOS Version.

May be some MAC users can help with observations / workarounds?

CU

Hi,

I see these problems, with both SeaMonkey 2.53.4 and 2.53.5.

A workaround that works for me is to switch to the "SeaMonkey Modern" theme.
(View -> Apply Theme -> SeaMonkey Modern. A blank popup will appear. It is
supposed to say that theme changes take effect when you restart SeaMonkey. You
can press Enter to restart now or Esc to restart later.)

Best regards,

Thanks, I'll try that, but Sea Monkey can only be forced closed.

I tried to install the beta version: Same thing: Blank pop up and App can't close (only forced close).
@ Thomas Hallgreen: I can't set any theme in composer.

As far as I can tell, if you are able to switch to the SeaMoney Modern theme
(using the View menu in the Browser or Mail window), it applies to all windows,
including the Composer, the Address Book, Preferences, etc, so they should all
work fine.

But I also see that if you have unsaved changes in the Composer when you try to
quit or restart SeaMonkey, it can produce popups that might be difficult to deal
with because they are blank, so the only option might be to force quit. But
SeaMonkey will switch to the new theme even if you force quit, fortunately.

Best regards,
Thomas H

theme.)

How are things on MacOs with this brand new level?

With SeaMonkey 2.53.5.1 I don't see the problems described in bugs 1677273 and
1677316 any more, i.e. no blank folder panes or popups with the SeaMonkey
Default Theme on macOS Big Sur!

Thanks for the quick fix!
