[Linux SM 1.1] OpenOffice 2.1 Send Email now working w/SM 1.1

Some of you may recall the related thread from October: "SM 1.0.05 Not
Working with OpenOffice Send as Email"; well I am *very* pleased to
report that the bugfix in SM 1.1
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122698) has fixed the
issue of not being able to send email in OpenOffice 2.1 when an instance
of SM is already running!

Thanks SM dudes!

Uninstalled 1.0.7, loaded 1.1, tested sending an Openoffice 2.1 document
from OOo while having my SM open & bingo, OOo opened up an email
composition window, attached the OOo document properly, worked like a
champ. I also tested with SM closed; same results, OOo opened up the SM
email composition window & attached the OOo document properly.

Note: I could not get this working in OOo 2.0.2 despite patching the
senddoc shellscript... however that is an OOo issue *not* a Seamonkey
issue. Also, OOo 2.1 still requires the senddoc shell script to be
patched/modified for this to work (see:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122698), and you need to
specify the entire path in the the OOo email section
(Tools|Options|Internet|E-mail); example:
/user/local/seamonkey/seamonkey -mail -composer %s

No, OpenOffice.org 2.1 yet does not supports SM as the a mailer option.

Well... be happy guy, starting at 2.2 it will support:
<http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64151>

I've just had an issue with SM 1.0.x when the script for SM was a
symlink (I haven't tested that with SM 1.1, but since it worked fine
with trunk almost a year ago...).

Don't aske me why it takes too long to arrive to OOo... (I know the
answer, but I actually don't want to answer :P).

BTW: with OOo 2.2 it will work with 1.0.7, regardless of bug 122698.

Yep. That's the bug reference that I meant to past into:

I reckon I was so excited that it worked with SM 1.1 that I pasted in
the wrong link :-)

Cool! Now if I can get it to work with the Nautilus file browser "Sent
to" option (different issue) life will be better :-)

Javascript, SM 1.1.1
I seem to have developed a problem with javascript; namely, it's always on. I generally enable/disable it through a checkbox in prefbar. Thinking that prefbar might be the source of the problem, I reloaded the page and tried disabling javascript through the preferences menu, but it made no difference. Lastly, I reloaded the page and disabled quick launch, but that too made no difference. As an example, with javascript disabled you should have the equivalent of a dead link (I think) when you click on any of the four thumbnails under the words "Select a picture" in this...

Problems with SM 1.1.1
Since upgrading to SeaMonkey 1.1.1 I am having several annoying problems. First the Maximize o Restore Up setting leaves about 1 1/2 inch of gray area between the browser window and the Taskbar. I have to go to Restore Down and stretch the window to fit. Second, the Menu bar sometimes does not appear, other times it disappears. Yes, I have clicked the little thingy that makes it shrink or expand with no results. Third and worst, if I close the browser (Navigator) window I cannot open a browser again without rebooting. I have tried the Window menu, the status bar icon and restarti...

SeaMonkey 1.1.18 vs SeaMonkey 2.1 (if/when 2.1 is released)
I will clearly state that I am not a computer whiz...thus, I have a number of concerns regarding SeaMonkey 2.0 installation on my system. I have been reading the many SeaMonkey 2.0 messages on this newsgroup with some concern about my ability to fix the problems that could occur with the installation of 2.0. It seems that the move from 1.1.18 to 2.0 is not happening without a number of glitches along the way. Thus, in light of what I have read, I am wondering if it would wise for me to wait for a future release of SeaMonkey before upgrading my system...I suppose I am hoping tha...

SeaMonkey 1.0.8 and 1.1.1
Hi localizers, Sorry for not informing you earlier on, but first we had to do a few respins and then I was too busy with the FOSDEM conference... Anyways, we're about to release the newest SeaMonkey security and stability update releases right now, with the version numbers 1.0.8 and 1.1.1 Due to our L10n freezes, both work with the language packs from earlier versions (1.0 or 1.1), but if you want binary builds up on FTP, you need to regenerate them for those versions. Both are already up in their respective release directories: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozill...

Why include LUNs in 1:1:1:1 ?
Hi Having installed several clusters and fully understanding and accepting the NetWare partition:pool:volume 1:1:1 relationship I would like to understand this latest fad of adding the LUN assignment into the relationship?!? I've always assigned the amount of space required for a particular OS cluster into a LUN and then masked that to the appropriate hosts, where it is then split into partitions, etc. What are the benefits for having multiple LUNs? Presumably you still have a single RAID (5,10, whatever) group under it? Aren't you just putting more stress on the st...
