Introduce Firefox OS::Gaia::Performance/Performance Automation
I am requesting to introduce a new sub-module into Firefox OS::Gaia to
encompass the needs of Gaia's performance, performance testing, and
performance automation. This would align with much of the Gaia's work that
is done in the Bugzilla component of Firefox OS::Gaia::PerformanceTest.
Performance is certainly everyone's responsibility in Gaia, but there is no
official point-person on triaging performance issues or code ownership in
this space, at least as it concerns the module system. Thoughts appreciated.

My spybot reveals that Firefox is responsible for downloading threats into

been hijacked or you had done a very stupid update. I still do not know

I have a 2 year old Gateway laptop that is dual booting Windows 7 and

It was a pleasure to install this build.. I tested
it on both Win XP and Windows 7 RTM tbh and am happy
with the performance results. Its faster and quicker
namely on high intensive sites, the memory footprint
is great allowing more intuitiveness all round.
Handles Java, flash and silverlight quite well
better than 3.5.

In Firefox Nightly (and WebIDE), you'll find a new tool: "Performance".
It replaces the profiler and the timeline tools.
This tool includes 4 major features:
- Live FPS & memory graphs

different categories (layout/paint/js)
- JS/Gecko profiler: show profiles as a tree or a flame chart

I have (2) 6 processor E6000 Solaris 7 systems, each with
2Gbytes memory. The current SYBASE configuration has a

best performance in this configuration, one server with 5
databases, running 5 engines or the original configuration?
I have the opportunity to change the configuration, and was

we have a 8-CPU Solarix box with 32G of memory. The server is running Sybase
12.5 and some misc services and batch jobs (shell scripts and perl
scripts) - it is essentially a dedicated database host. In a setup like
this, does it make sense to have online engines = 7 and Sybase total memory
= 23 GB? (these are the current settings)
I understand that it is impossible to give a recommendation based on this
information, but generally, would you try max out the memory and the number
of online engines? Is it possible to give too much memory or too many
parallell CPUs to Sybase...
