On OS X, if I run Safari after SeaMonkey, all my SeaMonkey bookmarks disappear!

Name: Len Hatfield
Email: len.hatfield_at_pacificir.org
Product: SeaMonkey
Summary: On OS X, if I run Safari after SeaMonkey, all my SeaMonkey bookmarks disappear!

Comments:
Running OS X 10.4.7, with current versions of Safari (2.04) and Sea
Monkey (1.05), though this problem began cropping up several versions
ago in Sea Monkey. Safari is not set to be my default browser--though
Firefox is.

Scenario: I use Sea Monkey mostly and have an extensive array of
bookmarks in subfolders and subsubfolders, in the Personal Bookmark Bar
folder, and elsewhere. Occasionally I need to test a website to see how
it looks with Safari, and every time I do, when I relaunch Sea Monkey,
my bookmarks have disappeared. Interestingly, this does not occur with
Firefox--bookmarks remain whether I've used Safari or not.

I've learned to export my bookmarks for backup and usually only lose a
week or so of recent bookmarks when this behavior occurs (I just
re-import from my backup), but it's pretty annoying to have to do this
on a regular basis.

Would very much appreciate any response anyone can share--particularly
if I'm amiss somehow in my configs.

Else: thanks for a wonderful product!

Bookmarks: XP Seamonkey to Vista Seamonkey
I'm thoroughly confused Have copied the requisite XP file: C\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\gobbledeguk.slt onto a thumbdrive. Installed thumbdrive in new Vista PC. PC sees file. Transferred file. Seamonkey does not see file in current location. Should I be doing an import with Seamonkey directly from the thumb drive? I can't even find the proper place for Owner file, and security says I can't get into Application data file, even though I am the Administrator and the sole user of the PC. Where does Vista/Seamonkey think this fil...

When starting SeaMonkey 2, SeaMonkey 1.1.13 is run
I installled SeaMonkey 2.a1 next to 1.1.13 All was well and pushing the 2.a1 short cut started SeaMonkey 2 At this moment the quick launch wasn't active (Windows) After reboot when the quick load is active, pushing the 2.a1 short cut starts 1.1.13 Even going to the 2.a1 install directory and pushing the SeaMonkey exe of 2.a1 starts 1.1.13. Unable to import seamonkey 1.x to Seamonkey 2.0
SeaMonkey 2.0 fails to import all my mail folders and everything ticked in the selection what should be imported. After it imports and correctly finds the correct profile, it just still shows blank mail folders. If I restart SeaMonkey mail, it asks me again if I want to configure email!? This repeatable and it just doesn't want to import any mail. admin@mmri.us wrote: > SeaMonkey 2.0 fails to import all my mail folders and everything ticked > in the selection what should be imported. > After it imports and correctly finds the correct profile, it just still &...

Click on a link to seamonkey.exe doesn't work if SeaMonkey is running
Hello, I used to click on the browser icon in the quicklaunch bar to open a new browser window. It worked for IE and Firefox but if SeaMonkey has already been started, a click doesn't bring up another browser window. This is really annoying, especially if the browser window has been closed while downloading a big file. Then, the progress dialog window (from which you can't go to the browser/mail client etc) is still there, but you can't open the browser with a link to the seamonkey.exe as long as this window hasn't been closed. So for browsing with SeaMonkey you ...

Certificates disappeared from Seamonkey 2.0.x
Mac OS X 10.6.7 Seamonkey 2.0.14, problem first noticed under 2.0.13 My personal certificates and the CA certificates which authenticate them have disappeared from Seamonkey. This used to all work prior to 2.0.13 but not neither my personal certificates nor the CA Authority ceriticates shows up in the Certificate manager. However, if I try to re-install (at least one of) the CA certificates I get a dialog bot saying that the certificate is already installed but I cannot see it! -- = Dr. Frank J. Safari Bookmarks reading for the Mac OS X Browsers
One of my biggest wishes for the Mac OS X Browsers is an import of the Safari bookmarks. If this can be done in Camino as well as Mozilla and Firebird, this would be really nice. Ulrich S. Kapp mailto:kapp@bigping.de http://www.bigping.de suggestion for mozilla marketing: i heard in the news somewhere that there would not be explorer for mac anymore because the 'other' mac browser was already prefered by mac users. if they prefered it there must be a reason, why dont you make a little research why did that other browser won in mac market and do us a favour to us win us...

Seamonkey hangs under Mac OS X with multiple dialog boxes
Running SeaMonkey 2.0.14 under Mac OS X 10.6.7 If I am in the process of dealing with a dialog box such as the Save box for a download request AND another dialog box pops up then I am unable to continue. Trying to click Cancel or Save/OK/Whatever on either dialog box does not work (i.e. cannot dismiss either dialog box) and the only solution is to switch to another application (like the Finder) and use Force Quit to kill SeaMonkey. -- = Dr. Frank J.
