4.2.2.2
Occasionally I will get an alert from ZAF announcing "The firewall has blocked local network access to 4.2.2.2 (DNS) from your computer." The explanation says that ZA has blocked access to Port 53 on a DNS server. Why would ZA block this? As far as I know, it has never requested permission to access this server and I have never denied such permission. I use a Netgear router, and in order to make it work with my system, I was instructed to configure the DNS Configuration of the TCP/IP Properties of my network card and add 4.2.2.2 as one of my DNS Servers. Thanks for you...

Has anyone gone from 2.16.2 to 2.18.2 and then 2.22?
We have been able to go from 2.16.2 to 2.18.2 but now we need to get on 2.22. Does anyone have any tips we should keep in mind as we do this. BTW our MySQL is 4.1 Thanks, David Go for it. As long as you haven't customized Bugzilla, there shouldn't be any issues. Keep in mind, however, that as a general rule, I am a pessimist about software changes, no matter who wrote the software, especially if it's M$: "Blessed is the pessimist for he'th made backups." :) --- Kevin Benton Perl/Bugzilla Developer/Administrator, Perforce SCM Administrator AMD - ECSD Software Validation and Tools =20 The opinions stated in this communication do not necessarily reflect the view of Advanced Micro Devices and have not been reviewed by management. Firefox 2 Feedback #2
Name: Julian Email: julianmatz_at_netlink.ie Product: Firefox 2 Beta 2 Summary: Firefox 2 Feedback Comments: Hello! I just wanted to make a suggestion... I'm a web developer, so I use Firefox a lot. One of the things I love about Firefox is the tabbed browsing - it's pretty much perfected! In Firefox 1.5 I got very used to having the little X-button on the very right used to close the tab that's currently open. This way I don't need to check where the tab is on my browser in order to close it - I simply had to press the "x" to close the tab I was...

Will migration from 2.1.2 to 2.2 be possible?
Hello, I was wondering if there will be plans to easily migrate from DNN 2.1.2 to DNN 2.2? I say easily because some people run thousands of portals on 1 DNN system. There should be an easy way to automatically migrate from old DNN to new. Is there going to be plans to allow this? If so, how will it work? Will any downsides exist? How about existing 2.1.2 skins and modules. Will they all work in DNN 2.2? How about the user model. Does that change in DNN 2.2? Right now its 1 username for the entire DNN server. Does DNN 2.2 have usernames unique to portals? If so, how w...

Security Advisory for Bugzilla 2.18.5, 2.20.2, 2.22, and 2.23.2
Summary ======= Bugzilla is a Web-based bug-tracking system, used by a large number of software projects. This advisory covers six security issues that have recently been fixed in the Bugzilla code: + Sometimes the information put into the <h1> and <h2> tags in Bugzilla was not properly escaped, leading to a possible XSS vulnerability. + Bugzilla administrators were allowed to put raw, unfiltered HTML into many fields in Bugzilla, leading to a possible XSS vulnerability. Now, the HTML allowed in those fields is limited. + attachment.cgi could leak the n...

iManager 1.2.2 #2
Hi, I have a NW6 SP3 server which runs BM37. I am in the process of upgrading to BM38 and I am running through the pre-requests. One of which is to upgrade iManager to 2.0.1. This can be done by either install iManager on a networked PC or upgrading the version on the server. I have tried installing it on a PC however, after the install it reports some errors, when you look at the log file is VERY lenghty and doesn't mean much to me. When the browser opens it tries to connect on the ipaddress of the pc\imanager......It basically doesn't work. What I need is a meth...

iManager 2.0.2 #2
If I try to change the location of the roll forward logs in iManager 2.02 from the _Netware directory it won't let me change volume locations, with the Yes turned on . Manual backup of eDir does work. Paul Burggraaf pburggraaf@gov.nl.ca, No, I wouldn't suppose that this is possible to do, since the RFL are currently in use. The RFL goes into use as soon as the eDir database is opened. You need to first turn off RFL and then change the locataion when you turn it back on. -- //Niclas Ekstedt ____________________________________ Niclas Ekstedt, CNA, CNE, CNS Network Consultant/NSC Sysop Iftech Network AB ____________________________________ Using XanaNews 1.16.3.1 (Sorry, support is not provided via e-mail) ...
