Firefox versus Yahoo: Firefox is losing
The Yahoo groups section is home to hundreds of thousands of users. http://groups.yahoo.com/groups The group has two methods to participate: as a list serve, or as an on-line discussion group where posts are available for reading and archived. These days you can tell who is using Firefox. Virtually everyone posting from Firefox browsers gets really screwed up page breaks when their post goes up to the 'net. IE users have good page break justification. That's my beef. No one seems to know what to do about it. thanks Greg N nieman wrote, On 9/25/2006 12:33 PM:...

How to Call Firefox from Thunderbird when Firefox is not Default Browser
I have Time Warner's Roadrunner. They provide free anti-virus, ad, firewall, etc programs that do not have Mozilla versions so I use Outlook and Internet Explorer as my default. There are a number of things I like to do using Firefox and Thunderbird - such as reading these newsgroups. I want Thunderbird to call up Firefox it I need a browser while using it. Does anyone know how to do this without changing system defaults? I have found that Explorer and Mozilla will get in competition with each other if I have both products running at the same time and can destroy my internet connect, disrupt my firewall, etc. I like to have only the Microsoft products or the Mozilla products running a one time. Amy help appreciated. Enable browser.tabs.loadOnNewTab and browser.windows.loadOnNewWindow in Firefox!
Hello Mozillians: I understand that browser.tabs.loadOnNewTab and browser.windows.loadOnNewWindow are disabled in Firefox. So I have read, and so my testing indicates. When opening a new window, you get your home page, and when starting your new tab, you get no nothin'. Silly, ain't it!? I repectfully ask that these two functions be activated in Firefox without any undue delay, because I am sure that many, like me, have a search engine (e.g., Google) as their home page and want that to open when clicking the New Tab tab (sic!) or File - New Tab. Thanks! Hans Leander Cleveland, Ohio Hans L apparently wrote thus: >I understand that browser.tabs.loadOnNewTab and >browser.windows.loadOnNewWindow are disabled in Firefox. So I have read, >and so my testing indicates. When opening a new window, you get your home >page, and when starting your new tab, you get no nothin'. Silly, ain't >it!? Not really. There will be people who like new windows to open in new tabs instead, and there will be people who like to choose when something is opened in a new tab. Likewise, there are people who prefer for new tabs to be blank, people who prefer new tabs to open the home page, and people who prefer new tabs to open the current page you're looking at. I personally like to choose when a link opens in a new tab, and when it doesn't. And for new tabs to be blank. But it would be nice to have GUI for ma...
