FTP website is returning 550 Permission denied for some files

Name:
Product: Firefox
Summary: FTP website is returning 550 Permission denied for some files

Comments:
Your FTP website is returning 550 Permission denied for some files.

E.g. the files in this directory:
ftp://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.9/win32/en-US/

Also, for similar directories (e.g. for en-GB, et al).

However, one CAN download files in higher directories, as well as the
update directories (.mar files).

e.g.
ftp://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.9/update/win32/en-US/

I like bookmarking the FTP directory, to check what the latest versions
are and to have permanent URLs.

Browser Details: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100824 Firefox/3.6.9 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
From URL: http://hendrix.mozilla.org/

Note to readers: Hendrix gives no expectation of a response to this feedback
but if you wish to provide one you must BCC (not CC) the sender for them to
see it.

FTP (file permissions)
- NW6.5 By default a general user can see all of my volumes and browse some of those volumes. I have put IRFs in place, but it does not seem to change the user's access. Any ideas? > By default a general user can see all of my volumes and browse some of those > volumes. I have put IRFs in place, but it does not seem to change the user's > access. Hmm. Does this user or a container he is in have supervisory rights anywhere? Here's a tool that might help you cut to the chase and find out why... http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/1637.html ...

550 Permission Denied
I am brand new to web editing. SeaMonkey seems user friendly and the interface is something I can easily understand. I had no problem editing the site, but when I go to "publish", I continuously get an error that says "550 image filename.jpg permission denied". I have read all the help files there are for this problem (e.g. file name, format etc.), yet I still can't get this to work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your suggestions. -G gabrielle wrote: > I am brand new to web editing. SeaMonkey seems user friendly and the > interface is something I ...

I need some help with this code please someone. I have been working on it for 2 days straight. Upt line 20 works and it gets the file names into an array and I'm using a for each on the array starting in line 20.  I'm getting this error message  which I received once before.  I had the path of the file wrong.  This code should loop through all the files in a subdirectory and upload them one by one to the remote server. Not working. Can someone help?1 Sub getfiles(ByVal ledir As String) 2 Dim pathtofiles As String = Server.MapPath("..\ftps...

Well, I have a file on my local machine root called ftp.txt which consists of the the word test.  Line 26 is highlighed each time I run this in green. Does anyone know how to fix this? I run this and I get the response in the subject of this thread.  It's connecting properly. I've deleted my login info in line 5. I'm not sure what this message is referring to. It says remote server, so can I assume that it logged into my site? Firefox/SP/File Permissions
Found an interesting "bug" in Firefox 0.8. My problem has been associated with sharing downloaded files on my LAN. When trying to access downloaded files, some documents can be accessed remotely, others can not. My practice is to download directly into the Shared directory. The goal is to be able to download a utility once and then access it from the other machines on my network. Up until now, this has been a hit and miss process. According to MS KB304040, NTFS file system permissions may differ from the parent folder if a move command is used at the command p...
