firefox 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124
Summary: firefox 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52
Ever since the updates to 184.108.40.206, our customers are not able to use
iNotes (Lotus Domino Webmail) to attach any emails. It is possible that
the fix "MFSA 2007-37 jar: URI scheme XSS hazard" is causing the
errors. Our only results is to have people downgrade back to 220.127.116.11 or
to use IE.
I know its not really a bug because the fix is for security purposes,
but many Lotus Notes users are not able to use iNotes to check their emails.
Browser Detai...Firefox 18.104.22.168 closes automatically to install update to 22.214.171.124
who on earth implemented this stupid thing that Firefox 126.96.36.199 closes
automatically without any warning to install an update to 188.8.131.52. I
might appreciate an automatic update feature but I hate that an update
is done without any user pre-warning. I can not accept that Firefox
shutdowns itself to install an update. I was just accessing my mailbox
to write an email and this was gone due to the unexpected shutdown.
Please avoid such stupid things in future!

I don't know what changed since 126.96.36.199 but the new releases (188.8.131.52,
184.108.40.206) seem very buggy. Random crashes, slow responses and
additionally problems with administrator rights.
I had similar problems on 2 out of 2 systems. Best solution for me (and
probably a lot of other users) is to go back to 220.127.116.11 and disable

I dont know if this is a problem, but I've encountered that Firefox
asked me at least 5 times to update from 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168. Which I did.
They all had the release date 30.11.2007. Is this normal? Am I doing
something wrong? Or is someone hacking into the Firefoxes update routine?
Please chack it.

I am currently using a version of Firefox with the version number of
22.214.171.124. This is the second time that I have been told that it has now
been updated to a newer version of Firefox with a version number of
126.96.36.199. I assume that 188.8.131.52 is newer (and better) than version
184.108.40.206. How can I stop this "update"?

Firefox automatically downloaded/installed 184.108.40.206 and asked permission
to restart upon which it continuously crashes (reboot etc. didn't fix).
I reinstalled 220.127.116.11 and have no issues with this version.
How do I prevent a repeat of above events?

Something is mixed up with the auto updating.
Almost every day when I start up Firefox, after a few minutes, it asks
me to allow it to restart to load a new version.
I have watched it update back and forth between 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11
almost every other day.
Any idea what is causing this?

FF duly informs me that there's an update available.
I d/l the update, agree to restart FF once it's installed, and ...
it's still at 188.8.131.52?
What's going on here?
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Under 18.104.22.168, when you right click any of the icons,
"detach all..." was an option.
Under 22.214.171.124, that option is grey-ed out.
Is there a way I can (easily) get it back?

After installing these Firefox 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124 version, whenever
web page with JAVA is opened, the FIREFOX will freeze.
Sometimes, when pdf page is opened, it also freeze.
Previous versions have no such problem.
FireFiox problem ? Java problem ?
