User.js or prefs.js
I looked in my profile's folder, and I only have a prefs.js, I do not have a user.js. Why is that? Where are hierArrays.js and hierMenus.js?
I'm new to EAServer and am trying to connect to the database for the first time. Each time I try, the personal web server would indicate that it's unable to locate hierArrays.js and hierMenus.js with a 404 error. The database is ASA 6.0, EA Server 3.5, Dynamo Personal Web Server. Thanks 404 means it cannot find the page. using /source/js/src/md5.js in /source/toolkit/components/passwordmgr/src/storage-mozStorage.js ?
Dear beloved newsgroup :-) Maybe you can help me. I don't know exactly who in xpcom interpretes the javascript xpcom components before registering them (does spidermonkey do that, too?), but there's my problem: I need to be able to do hashes in passwordmanager's storage-mozStorage.js. I'm looking for the simplest way to use code from somewhere else, like a "library". (If possible, I don't want to call another xpcom component to do the hashes for me - but if I need to, which one would you use? It doesn't matter which algorithm, could also be...

prefs.js / user.js problems
Historical background 1. I started out when Netscape 4.x was latest and greatest Upgraded over years to Mozilla and then Seamonkey 2. Up until ~4 years ago I was doing some informal support for two visually impaired naive users at church. I set my system up to emulate the features they typically had problems with. 3. I have some ideas about what makes a page legible, primarily use black text on white background wherever possible. So I set many things up to override the page designers choices. 4. My system is WinXP Pro SP3. I have no idea (nor really care) how ...

how to call js-file from js-file
Hello, I have wrote a FF-extension. The extension consists of a dialog. In the dialog file 'dlg.xul' I import a js-file with '<script type="text/javascript" src="chrome://helloworld/content/ Menue.js"/>' I can now call functions form 'Menue.js' out of the 'dlg.xul' (excellent). Now I want to import the js-file 'Tools.js' in the js-file 'Menue.js'. So I write '<script type="text/javascript" src="chrome://helloworld/ content/Tools.js"/>' at the beginning of the file 'Me...

How do I include other .js files from user.js?
My laptop and I move from client to client, and each site seems to have different proxy configurations. Right now, I use a script to (among other things) re-write my user.js file according to where I'm working, but I'd like to use a dedicated network_proxy.js that my user.js could include. That way, there's less danger of my other customizations getting clobbered. I tried to figure out how user.js and prefs.js get loaded, but couldn't decypher everything that was going on. Thanks! samwyse@gmail.com wrote: > My laptop and I move from client to client, and e...
