Is it just me or has the Fandango site stopped working with FF (1.5.0.7, 1.5.0.9, 2.0) on eComStation 1.2 ?

Hi all, I've possibly messed up my Firefox installations, but other
pages still seem to work OK. Has anyone else had problems recently with
http://www.fandango.com ? The home page comes up, and then completely
hangs my system, and even if I ctrl-alt-delete and kill Firefox with
TOP, I just get a black screen and have to re-boot. It used to work fine.

If it's just me, does anyone have any advice for what might be happening
or how to go about figuring it out ?

Thanks in advance,
Karen Roberts

Works here with Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2)
Gecko/20070227 Firefox/2.0.0.2 There is a lot of javascript on that
page so maybe some of that is messing things up. Here I use NoScript
which is a plugin that can selectively block JavaScript. I have
everything but fandango.com blocked. There is also a big white square
in the middle of the page that looks like it might have a flash
content, but FlashBlock doesn't show anything.

Looks like it's the one Flash app they have in the centre of the page
that allows you to choose from 3 movies to play back.
The Flashblock plugin is your friend and can be selective about which
flash you allow to play, the rest of the page will then load okay

Twice here it just caused Firefox to abort, and once locked the system
with Firefox being unresponsive and just appearing as a black hole on my
desktop.

cheers

Seems to work fine with the Sea Monkey that I have. There's a link to a
flash movie in the middle of the page. If clicked, it just loads
another page with a jpg from the movie and says I need to upgrade to
Flash 8. (I have flash 7). Otherwise, everything on the page works
okay afaik.

Site broken after 1.5.0.9/2.0.0.1
Hi guys, Since the update, I'm having rendering issues with www.peedeetoys.com.au Works fine in 1.5.0.8/2.0.0.0 so I'm assuming that it's got something to do with the security changes. I'm not a web developer, so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Can anyone give me any suggestions? The person who maintains the site has come up blank. Thanks, Leigh. AFAIK, at one point in the future history of the 1.5.0.x branch you will be offered to ugrade to the then-current Fx2 release. This supposedly will happen no later (and, hopefully, considerably earlier) than 24-Apr-2007 which is the date when support of the 1.5 branch is scheduled to be dropped. Firefox 1.5.0.9 and 2.0.0.1 McAfee Firewall Problem
