ftp.mozilla.org down ?

I was happily downloading nightlies from ftp.mozilla.org (though with many
stalls) when suddenly Mozilla broke the connection.

Now any attempt to resume the connection fails:

(in the command-line ftp program)
ftp> open ftp.mozilla.org
ftp: connect: Connection refused

(in SeaMonkey)
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-trunk/?C=M;O=D
/!\ Failed to Connect
The connection was refused when attempting to contact ftp.mozilla.org.
Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.
  * Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
  * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network
connection.
  * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect
settings can interfere with Web browsing.

Note: I can access ftp.vim.org with no problems.

Anyone else seeing this? I'm in Belgium.

Best regards,
Tony.

Yes, ftp.m.o was down a bit, it's back up. I hear things about high
system load, a reboot and some dis array problems, they are still trying
to figure out what might have caused what, but the server seems to be
back up in the meantime.

See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393773 (and the two bugs
mentioned in its comment #1) for details.

From what I read there, it could be:

- Mozilla products' success going up faster than the disk servers can follow
- a software bug causing some products to request the same upgrade many times,
repeatedly
- a DOS attack is maybe not totally ruled out but seems unlikely.

Best regards,
Tony.

Questions regarding plans( org plan and user plan)
Dear all,Is that possible to create different plans to control users' mailbox quota at user level ? Am I right to say that HMC 's plan is quota control at Org Plan, and services control at User Plan?Regards,Triston Hi,not sure whether i got the question, since this what i understand is basic functionality. When creating a user plan with Hosted Email 2007::CreateUserPlan you can/should specify the quotas with<prohibitSendQuota>...</prohibitSendQuota><issueWarningQuota>...</issueWarningQuota><prohibitSendReceiveQuota>...</prohibitSendReceiveQuota...

[meta] perl.org mail, ftp.cpan.org, www.perl.org and so on...
In the next hour or so we will be moving the box hosting ftp.cpan.org, cpan.valueclick.com, (perl|cpan).org mail, www.cpan.org, www.perl.org and so on to the rack next to the one it's in now. The downtime should be less than 10 minutes, but now you are forewarned in case I hit the 110V/230V switch while we move it or something. :-) - ask -- ask bjoern hansen, http://ask.netcetera.dk/ !try; do(); ...

FTP to FTP
Lately I've been seeing scans show up of a port 21 trying to connect to my port 21 (I am not, BTW, running an FTP server). Amazon SES enabled on dev.anosrep.org and fixed on personatest.org
When personatest.org was migrated from Zerigo to AWS Route53 we lost the TXT record that authorizes AWS SES to send email as users @personatest.organd SES was going to be disabled in a few days. Current recovery plan for gecko-dev and git (Was: Re: gecko-dev and Git replication will be broken for a little while)
Here is an update on our plans and status. = Overview = gps and hwine will implement the plan, which is, in summary, manually playing back the problematic merges one by one to ensure both systems are in agreement. gps has point and hwine is online for peer review of the work. No further tree closures are needed for this plan. = Procedure in detail = 1) Make backup copy of SHA-1 mapfiles on both systems (in progress) 2) Manually iterate through Mercurial commits starting at 8991b10184de and run gexport on that commit 3) Compare resulting SHA-1s in Git across conversion system...

Merging dev-gaia and dev-b2g into dev-fxos
--001a113ce93ebce35d051e4c0c73 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Hello people of Firefox OS, After a discussion we have decided that the distinction between dev-gaia and dev-b2g mailing lists is not enough to warrant maintaining two lists. So we are deprecating both in favor of dev-fxos. ftp.sidhe.org should be a bit more functional
Okay, with the help of Henry Frystak, I think the problems folks were having with ftp access to ftp.sidhe.org's been cleared up. Aparently RedHat Linux enables ident checking by default and, for some reason, blocked checks (and many firewalls block it) cause it much cranky unhappiness. Since I wasn't using it anyway (didn't even know it was on) I've disabled it. Hopefully that'll make things better. If this doesn't clear up the problems people were having let me know and we'll try Plan B. Dan ----------------------------------------"it's...

Add Public Folder to Org Plan
Hi All, could anyone possibly point me in the right direction on how to add Public Folders to a subscribers plan (i.e. BusinessOrg initially without PFs - now change to include PFs). The HMC 4 docs don't have any real info on that (other than allocate space - create folder - update plan, kinda figured that one out already ..).BTW: HMC4 On that note, is there any decent documentation on HMC/MPS out there?
