A new blocker was discovered recently what will require a respin for
Firefox 2.0.0.2:

      Bug 370521 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370521>
-- TextArea not firing onchange event (edit
      <javascript:toggleField('summary');>)

was caused by the checkin for:

      Bug 357684 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357684>
-- onchange on textbox not fired when onblur changes text value
      (edit <javascript:toggleField('summary');>)

To minimize risk this late in the release cycle, we have decided to
backout the changes from Bug 357684 and respin Firefox 2.0.0.2. The
latest Firefox 2.0.0.2 rc5 builds are available in
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2.0.0.2-candidates/rc5,
so please help us test the latest back out and verify any other fixes
you are interested in.

Given the work that will need to be done to build and test 2.0.0.2 rc5,
our ship day will need to be pushed out yet again. We were hoping to be
done by Thur. 2/22, but are now looking at a *new target release date of
Tuesday 2/27.

*This change will not impact 1.5.0.10, so build and QA will continue
their work with Firefox/Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 and try to wrap that up
soon, so we can focus on Firefox 2.0.0.2 rc5 later this week and be
ready for release next week.*
*
I'll be posting to the newsgroups and updating the wiki page
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:1.5.0.10-2.0.0.2 with any more updates
later this week. So keep an eye out for any changes.

QA and build have been working overtime and it looks like we will be
ready to ship ahead of schedule. If all goes well, we should be ready to
sign off on Firefox 1.5.0.10 and 2.0.0.2 this evening and prepare for a
release tomorrow.

We normally would hold off until next week, but due to the public
exploit and this release already having slipped a few times, we are
planning to ship Firefox 1.5.0.10 and Firefox 2.0.0.2 on Friday 2/23 ~
9:00am PST.

Thunderbird will be released some time next week, along with a few
partner builds.

2.0.0.2/1.5.0.10 security release update
We had to respin for https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370445, and now have Firefox 2.0.0.2 rc4 and 1.5.0.10 rc2 builds. We also had to re-fix the permissions issue with DE (temporarily disabled watch for files effected), and will look for a more permanent fix for the next release. Looks like these latest rc builds might be it... Build and QA are wrapping up work for these latest rc builds and we are shooting for a target ship date of Thursday 2/22 (Thunderbird will follow the next week). Is 2.0.0.5 a bad release (like 2.0.0.3 was) ?
I'm seeing a lot of problems reported here with the upgrade to 2.0.0.5. Mostly it seems about add-ons not working and other features suddenly breaking. I got my first upgrade prompt last night and declined it. I think I'll continue declining it. Is there some kind of status page we can look at where known major bugs in the current build are listed out in a short list (rather than trolling through the bugzilla DB)? Maybe such a place also acknowledges that they know it's a bad release and plan to issue a 2.0.0.6 shortly, and advise us to not update to 5. ~dd d ...

firefox 2.0.0.1 and 2.0.0.2 download window problem
I am having a problem with the download options in the browser. Hope I can explain this correctly so it makes sense. I went to "options" "download" and tried changing it there for various settings with no change. Problem just started with 2.0.01 and unfortunately the browser updated to 2.0.0.2 before I could stop it but problems still there. My other computer works fine with both versions so I think something got corrupted but don't know what or how to fix it. I don't want to uninstall FF and reinstall it and lose all my bookmarks.
