Firefox 1.5.0.2 / 1.5.0.3 build errors
I've been trying all day to build Firefox 1.5.0.2 and 1.5.0.3 under Windows XP Pro, using a fresh install of cygwin, and MS Visual Studio 2003 (i.e., VC7.1). I've followed all the steps on the web site, I've set my environment variables appropriately, and no matter what I do, I end up with an error in c:\mozilla\dist\include\string\nsString.h(55): error C2006: '#include' : expected a filename, found 'identifier'. When I look at the line in question, it's "# include NEW_H"--which is obviously invalid. The only reference I've fo...

Dear Rafael, Sorry to re-send this, but the original message has not appeared on the mailing list and other emails send after mine have, so I think there is a problem with my outgoing email. I have got my script running fine on SCO OpenServer 5.0.0, it has taken me this long to install the modules that I needed and it is finally running. I am now trying to build per on SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 but the Configure script is failing. Firefox-2.0.0.7 build problem
Hello all, Couple of days back I tried to compile Firefox-2.0.0.7, and honestly it was no pleasant experience. It turned out quite nasty in fact. Suffice it to say, I had to install new OS because of that. It'll be long post to describe all that...anyways I just want to share some observations here. Till two days back, I was running FC5, and was using Firefox-1.5.0.12(FC5 updates) on my machine. Firefox regularly used to crash, consume loads of memory - more than 50MB for only one tab showing my homepage - and with some flash based sites, it would invariably prompt ...
